ANNOUNCEMENT FOR UNIVERSITY STUDY SCHOLARSHIPS IN TANZANIA
The Morogoro Women Training Centre (MWTC) of the Christian Council of Tanzania (CCT) announces scholarship opportunities for university studies in Tanzania for the academic year 2025–2026.
1.0 ELIGIBILITY FOR SCHOLARSHIP
To qualify for the scholarship, the applicant must meet the following conditions:
i. Must be a girl aged between 17 and 25 years.
ii. Must have willingness, readiness, and genuine commitment to pursue higher education.
iii. Must be capable of handling university-level studies.
iv. Must come from a financially disadvantaged family, a situation to be confirmed by the Pastor of the applicant’s church, and must belong to member churches of the CCT, which are:
- Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania (ELCT)
- Anglican Church of Tanzania (ACT)
- Moravian Church in Tanzania (MCT)
- Africa Inland Church Tanzania (AICT)
- Mennonite Church Tanzania (KMT)
- The Salvation Army
- Baptist Church Tanzania (BCT)
- Presbyterian Church of East Africa (PCEA)
- Church of God Tanzania
- Bible Church Tanzania
- Evangelical Church Tanzania
- Christ’s Love Church KIUMA
v. Must come from pastoralist/farming communities of the Maasai, Kaguru, Nguu, Barbaig, and Sukuma ethnic groups.
vi. The project area covers the districts of Handeni, Kilindi, Gairo, Rural Morogoro, Kilosa, Mvomero, Chalinze, Hanang’, Mbulu, and Kishapu.
vii. Must be a first-time student joining a university for a Degree program in the 2025–2026 academic year.
viii. Must be a first-time student joining a middle-level college for a Diploma program in the 2025–2026 academic year.
ix. Must have already applied and secured admission and possess an official Letter of Admission to a recognized university or college.
x. Must not have any government student loan from the Higher Education Loans Board or any other scholarship.
xi. Must be unmarried.

2.0 APPLICATION WINDOW
The application window will open from 25/07/2025, upon receiving the official admission letter from government-recognized institutions, and the deadline for submission of applications is 02/10/2025.
3.0 DURATION OF SCHOLARSHIP
The scholarship will cover three consecutive years, starting from November 2025 to October 2028. Only students undertaking a three-year course are eligible to apply.
4.0 SCHOLARSHIP PACKAGE
The scholarship will cover all university requirements including tuition fees, accommodation, meals, health insurance, upkeep allowance, transport during fieldwork, study materials, and assistive devices for students with special needs.
5.0 REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
Applications must include:
a) Application letter.
b) Introduction letter from the applicant’s Pastor signed and stamped with the official church seal.
c) Confirmation letter from the Diocesan Secretary.
d) Letter of Admission from the institution.
e) Copies of secondary academic certificates.
f) Applicant’s CV.
g) Medical certificate from a Doctor.
h) Copy of birth certificate.
i) Copy of National ID.
j) Four passport-size photographs.
k) Applicant’s life history written in English.
