The President’s Office - TAMISEMI received approval to employ 6,876 staff in the Health cadre and 9,800 in the Teaching cadre from the President’s Office – Public Service Management and Good Governance through letter Ref. No. FA. 97/431/01/'A"/22 dated 20/04/2022. A total of 16,676 staff, including 7,612 in the Health cadre and 9,800 in the Teaching cadre, have been assigned to work at service centers within Local Government Authorities.

To enable these staff to begin work at their assigned stations, a total of TZS 13,307,150,000.00 has been disbursed to the Local Government Authorities for a seven (7) day self-sustenance allowance and public transport fares for each newly employed staff, considering their place of origin.

Through this letter, I request that you direct the Directors of the respective Local Government Authorities where these staff have been assigned to ensure the completion of payments. These payments should adhere to the Standing Regulations of Public Service and Public Service Circular No. 1 of 2022, no later than 15 September, 2022. Attached to this letter is a payment breakdown.

The President’s Office - TAMISEMI has allocated TZS 13,307,150,000.00 to facilitate the onboarding of 16,676 newly employed staff in the Health and Teaching cadres. This funding covers a 7-day self-sustenance allowance and public transport costs. All Local Government Authorities are instructed to complete these payments in compliance with Public Service Regulations by 15 September, 2022. For further details, refer to the attached breakdown.
