Career Opportunity: Program Assistant at BRAC Maendeleo Tanzania
BRAC International, in partnership with The MasterCard Foundation, is implementing a transformative initiative to empower 1.2 million adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) across seven African countries, including Tanzania. We are seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to join our team as Program Assistants in multiple regions.

Locations: Mbeya, Iringa, Tanga, Dodoma, Morogoro, Mwanza, Dar es Salaam, Tabora
Employment Type: Contractual
Salary: Negotiable

About the Role: The Program Assistant will be responsible for the field-level implementation of program activities under three core pillars: Social & Economic Empowerment, Education Pathways, and Enabling Environment for AGYW. Key responsibilities include:
· Leading community mobilization, participant selection, and club setup.
· Training and supervising mentors, conducting household surveys, and facilitating livelihood and education pathways.
· Ensuring data collection, reporting, and documentation through digital and manual systems.
· Building relationships with community stakeholders, service providers, and government entities.
· Promoting safeguarding policies and ensuring a safe environment for all participants and team members.
Requirements:
· Graduate/Diploma in Social Studies, Community Development, Gender and Development, Business Administration, or related field.
· At least 1 year of experience in international development, preferably in education, microfinance, livelihood, women’s empowerment, or related areas.
· Strong community mobilization, communication, and facilitation skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with digital data collection tools (e.g., KoBo, CommCare).
· Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
