ANNOUNCEMENT OF CONTRACT JOB VACANCIES SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHERS- TEACHER GRADE III B.
The Executive Director of Tunduru District Council wishes to announce to all qualified and capable Tanzanians the availability of contract job vacancies for Teacher Grade III B, for the subjects of Business (31 Vacancies), English (02 Vacancies) and History (02 Vacancies).
He therefore welcomes job applications from qualified Tanzanians to fill these vacancies;-
1.0 TEACHER GRADE III B - BUSINESS SUBJECTS (31 VACANCIES)
1.0.1 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Preparing work schedules, lesson preparations, lesson notes and Work Plans for other assigned duties;
ii. Creating and simplifying teaching and learning tools;
iii. Teaching, conducting Assessments and maintaining records of Student Progress;
iv. Supervising and monitoring student attendance at School and in the Classroom;
v. Supervising the intellectual, physical, and spiritual upbringing of students and providing advice and counseling;
vi. Providing professional and technical advice on the development of Education;
vii. Supervising and maintaining school equipment and property;
viii. Other duties as assigned by the School Head according to the School's responsibilities.
1.0.2 APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS
To be employed, one must have a Diploma in Education with a teaching subject in Business or Business Management (Commerce/ Bookkeeping/ Business Administration and Business Studies)
OR a non-Education Diploma with a teaching subject in Business or Business Management (Commerce/ Bookkeeping/ Business Administration and Business Studies) from institutions recognized by the Government.
SALARY
A Contract Teacher will be paid an allowance of Tsh.300,000/= per month.
2.0 TEACHER GRADE IIIB – ENGLISH SUBJECTS (02 VACANCIES)
2.1.1 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Preparing work schedules, lesson preparations, lesson notes and Work Plans for other assigned duties;
ii. Creating and simplifying teaching and learning tools;
iii. Teaching, conducting Assessments and maintaining records of Student Progress;
iv. Supervising and monitoring student attendance at School and in the Classroom;
v. Supervising the intellectual, physical, and spiritual upbringing of students and providing advice and counseling;
vi. Providing professional and technical advice on the development of Education;
vii. Supervising and maintaining school equipment and property;
viii. Other duties as assigned by the School Head according to the School's responsibilities.
2.1.2 EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS
To be employed, one must have a Diploma in Education with a teaching subject in English from institutions recognized by the Government.
SALARY
A Contract Teacher will be paid an allowance of Tsh.300,000/= per month.
3.0 TEACHER GRADE IIIB – HISTORY SUBJECTS (02 VACANCIES)
3.1 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Preparing work schedules, lesson preparations, lesson notes and Work Plans for other assigned duties;
ii. Creating and simplifying teaching and learning tools;
iii. Teaching, conducting Assessments and maintaining records of Student Progress;
iv. Supervising and monitoring student attendance at School and in the Classroom;
v. Supervising the intellectual, physical, and spiritual upbringing of students and providing advice and counseling;
vi. Providing professional and technical advice on the development of Education;
vii. Supervising and maintaining school equipment and property;
viii. Other duties as assigned by the School Head according to the School's responsibilities.
3.1.2 EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS
To be employed, one must have a Diploma in Education with a teaching subject in History from institutions recognized by the Government.
SALARY
A Contract Teacher will be paid an allowance of Tsh.300,000/= per month.
GENERAL TERMS FOR ALL APPLICANTS
i. All applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 and 45 years.
ii. Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply and must specify the type of disability they have in the job application system for the information of the Secretariat for Employment in the Public Service.
iii. Applicants must attach a detailed Personal Curriculum Vitae (C.V) with a functional address, available phone numbers and an email address (Email Address) along with the names of three reliable referees.
iv. All applications must be accompanied by certified copies of Academic and Professional certificates by a Lawyer/Advocate which include Form Four or Form Six certificates for those who reached that level and certificates for various training completions depending on the job qualifications Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma/Certificate – Form Four and Form Six Examination Certificates, Computer Certificate, - Professional Certificates (Professional Certificate from Respective Boards).
v. Candidates who submit Testimonials, Provisional Results, Statement of results, Form IV and Form VI results slips (form V and form VI results slips) WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AND WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PROCEED WITH THE INTERVIEW.
vi. Applicants who studied outside Tanzania must ensure their certificates are verified and validated by the relevant Authority (TCU, NECTA and NACTVET).
vii. Applicants retired from the Public Service are not allowed to apply unless they have permission from the Chief Secretary.
viii. Job applicants who are already employed in interim positions within the Public Service should not apply and are required to follow the guidelines in Circular No. CAC: 45/257/01/D/140 dated November 30, 2010.
ix. Applicants who submit false information and qualifications will face legal action.
x. Candidates whose names differ in their documents must submit a sworn Affidavit for Change of Name (Deed Poll) registered by the Ministry of Lands.
xi. The deadline for submitting applications is September 10, 2025.
