Job Advert – Mobile Equipment Operator II – Truck (1 Vacancy)

Position Description

Bulyanhulu Gold Mine is seeking to recruit a Mobile Equipment Operator II – Truck to join and grow our team.

Responsibilities

  • Refuel machines.

  • Identify tipping areas for low grade, high grade fine materials, and oversize.

  • Assist during shaft examinations.

  • Operate surface belt.

  • Load and offload material into and from shaft conveyance.

  • Prepare conveyance for shaft examination and repairs.

  • Assist during shaft inspections.

  • Clean sump under the belt.

  • Perform housekeeping in assigned work areas.

Qualification Requirements

  • Ordinary Level Secondary Education.

  • Certificate in Truck Operation.

  • Valid driving license class G and F (added advantage).

  • Certificate in Belt Operation (added advantage).

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar underground mining industry.

  • Practical experience in shaft operations.

Skills / Knowledge Requirements

  • Good communication skills in English and Swahili.

  • Demonstrates a high concern for health, safety, and environment.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all documented Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

  • Ensure ore drive backsight, face marking, and sampling are completed on time.

  • Ensure underground truck operators acknowledge correct stockpile dumping locations to avoid ore loss/dilution.

  • Collect drill core samples in line with SOP, including recording required information and practicing QA/QC.

  • Prepare and dispatch samples to the highest standard (avoiding contamination, mixing, and missing samples).

  • Deliver accurate geological data, reports, and documents, including daily and weekly underground reports.

  • Ensure good core recovery, report irregularities, and maintain proper data entry and filing systems.

  • Maintain equipment, vehicles, and facilities.

  • Provide timely peer and management feedback.

  • Perform other duties as requested by the Geology Senior Technician or Mine Geologists.

  • Drive continual improvement and ensure delivery of results.

Qualification Requirements

  • Geology Diploma from a recognized institution or equivalent.

  • Valid Tanzanian driving license.

Experience and Competencies

  • Over 5 years’ experience in the mining industry, including at least 2 years in an underground environment.

  • Emergency power generation experience (added advantage).

Skills / Knowledge Requirements

  • Hazard identification and risk assessment.

  • Strong communication skills in English and Swahili.

  • Computer literacy (MS Outlook, Word, Excel).

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Geological underground face mapping, sampling, and ore tracking.
