Ifakara Health Institute (IHI) is seeking a Research Officer (Intern) in social work to support data collection, management, and analysis within the Clinical Trials and Epidemiology Laboratory (CTCEL) Project. The intern will work closely with the Project Leader.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Conduct quantitative and qualitative research.
· Collect, analyze, and manage data.
· Enhance community protection and participation in research.
· Assist in organizing stakeholder interviews.
· Train research assistants on data collection tools.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
· Degree in Social Work or equivalent.
· Familiarity with clinical research activities.

IHI is seeking a motivated Medical Doctor to evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage HIV/TB patients at St. Francis Referral Hospital in Ifakara.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Treat PLHIV and TB patients per national guidelines.
· Diagnose and manage opportunistic infections.
· Maintain patient documentation and CRFs.
· Conduct ward rounds and health education.
· Attend compulsory meetings and contribute to research activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
· Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.
· Internship certificate.
· MCT registration and retention.
· At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
Skills and Competencies:
· Interest in TB/HIV.
· Motivation for research.
· Strong interpersonal and planning skills.

IHI is seeking a Laboratory Scientist to conduct immunology and molecular biology tests in compliance with SOPs, ISO 15189, GCP, and GCLP standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Perform lab tests accurately and document results.
· Adhere to safety and quality control procedures.
· Prepare and review SOPs.
· Manage samples and maintain equipment.
· Participate in training and quality improvement.
Qualifications and Experience:
· Bachelor’s in Biotechnology/Lab Sciences or related field.
· At least 1 year of experience in biomedical research.
· Knowledge of GCP, GCLP, and quality management systems.
Skills and Competencies:
· Data analysis and ICT skills.
· Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
