Korosho Cooperative Joint Enterprise (KCJE) Limited is a Cooperative organisation established by cooperative unions operating in Tanzania's cashew and other produce industry. It was formally registered with the Registrar of Cooperatives on September 12, 2022, under registration number 5621. The organisation aims to enhance the social and economic prosperity of its members by supervising, controlling, and optimising access to various agricultural inputs, such as pesticides, mist blowers, motorised sprayers, packaging materials, and digital weighing scales. Additionally, KCJE Limited strives to efficiently coordinate, inspire, and promote cooperative economic development and sustainable agriculture among its members.
The Board of Korosho Cooperative Joint Enterprise Ltd Invites Tanzanian applicants with suitable qualifications and experience to fill the following available vacancies as outlined in this announcement.
1. Chief Internal Auditor
Nature and Scope
The successful candidate will report to the Joint Enterprises Board and administratively to the General Manager. The candidate will be responsible to add value and improve operations by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to the effectiveness of risk management, control management and governance processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive internal audit
- Lead and manage internal audit engagements, ensuring compliance with established policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance
- Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings and recommendations to management and the Board.
- Monitor the implementation of audit
- Provide independent assurance on the accuracy and reliability of financial and operational
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of internal
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field from recognised University/Institution.
- Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CIA) is
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in internal audit, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role, preferably within an agricultural cooperative or similar
- In-depth knowledge of auditing standards, financial regulations, and risk management
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership
- A comprehensive understanding of the operational framework of cooperatives in Tanzania is a significant advantage.
2. Chief Accountant
Nature and scope
The successful candidate will report to the General Manager. He/She will be responsible for maintenance of books of accounts, financial reporting and routine processing of the transactions relating to Finance. He/She will supervise the financial budgeting process, payment to suppliers as well as formulation of internal controls to safeguard the financial resources of the Joint Enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the accounts department and monitor financial information on a daily basis;
- Ensure that accounting records are accurately and properly prepared and maintained;
- Co‑ordinate budgeting exercise including production of regular budget reports and budgetary control;
- Chief advisor to the management and Board of Directors on all financial matters of the Joint Enterprise;
- Ensure all statutory returns are prepared and remittances are made in time;
- Ensure KCJE complies with all tax matters i.e. VAT, corporate tax, PAYE, withholding tax etc;
- Prepare relevant monthly/quarterly and annual returns;
- Design and implement internal financial controls;
- Carry out transaction settlements in accordance with authorization mandates and in observance of prudence and existing internal controls;
- Prepare all statutory and regulatory reports in line with accepted accounting standards;
- Provide guidance to the Management on issues pertaining to accounting as well as financial and regulatory reporting;
- Prepare and submit Management and regulatory reports to the Board; and
- Carry out any other related duties as may be assigned by General Manager from time to time.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:
- Holder of Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy/Finance or related field from recognised higher learning institutions;
- Holder of an internationally recognized accountancy qualification such as CPA(T) or ACCA registered by NBAA;
- Minimum of 3 years of overall experience in Chief Accountant, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role, preferably within an agricultural cooperative or similar.
- Marketing Officer
Nature and Scope
The successful candidate will report to General Manager. He/She will be responsible for all operation issues related marketing of Joint Enterprises member’s products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement marketing strategies and campaigns to promote KCJE Limited's services and products.
- Conduct market research to identify member needs, market trends, and competitive landscape within the cashew and sesame sector.
- Create compelling marketing materials, including brochures, presentations, digital content, and advertisements.
- Manage social media presence and online marketing efforts.
- Organise and participate in promotional events, workshops, and trade fairs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with members, stakeholders, and Key industry partners in the cashew sector.
- Monitor and analyse marketing campaign performance and report on results.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, Public Relations, or a related field (Economics, Investment, etc) from a recognised University/Institution.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a marketing or analogous role is a significant advantage, ideally within an agricultural cooperative in the cashew industry.
- Proven experience in developing and executing marketing campaigns.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing tools and social media platforms.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Assistant Internal Auditor
Nature and Scope
The successful candidate will report to the Chief Internal Auditor. He/She will be responsible for the internal control processes within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of the annual internal audit plan.
- Conduct internal audit engagements as assigned, including financial, operational, and compliance audits.
- Perform detailed testing of controls, transactions, and processes to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Prepare and document audit work papers with clear and concise findings.
- Assist in the preparation of audit reports, summarizing findings and recommendations for management.
- Monitor and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations to ensure timely closure.
- Support the Chief Internal Auditor in evaluating the effectiveness of risk management and governance processes.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field from recognised University/Institution.

- Assistant Accountant
Nature and Scope
The successful candidate will report to the Chief Accountant. He/She will be responsible to the Chief Accountant in carrying out the Enterprise’s financial and accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in supervising daily financial accounting operations, including the maintenance of source documents, Books of Prime Entry, and the general ledger.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and promptly.
- Support the payroll function and ensure accurate and timely disbursement of salaries.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Help manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and comply with accounting standards.
- Assist in reconciling bank statements, ledgers, and other financial accounts.
- Maintain accurate and organised financial records.
- Carry out any other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor from time to time.

- Expenditure Accountant
Nature and Scope
The successful candidate will report to the Chief Accountant. He/She will be responsible to the Chief Accountant in carrying out the Enterprise’s financial transactions related to expenditure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all financial transactions related to expenditures, including accounts payable, petty cash, and expense reports.
- Review, verify, and process invoices and expense claims, ensuring proper authorisation and supporting documentation.
- Prepare and process payments to suppliers and vendors promptly.
- Maintain and reconcile accounts payable ledger and vendor statements.
- Ensure all expenditures are accurately recorded and coded in the accounting system.
- Prepare regular reports on expenditure trends and provide analysis to management.
- Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes for accounts payable.
- Ensure compliance with internal expenditure policies and procedures.

- Revenue Accountant
Nature and Scope
The successful candidate will report to the Chief Accountant. He/She will be responsible to the Chief Accountant in carrying out the Enterprise’s financial transactions related to revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all financial transactions related to revenue, including accounts receivable and revenue recognition.
- Ensure the timely and accurate recording of all sales and other revenue sources.
- Prepare and issue invoices and manage the collection of accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank deposits with revenue records and the general ledger.
- Monitor accounts receivable to ensure timely collections and address any discrepancies.
- Prepare regular reports on revenue performance, sales, and accounts receivable.
- Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes for revenue.
- Ensure compliance with all internal revenue policies and procedures.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (Business Administration).

- Cashier
Nature and Scope
The successful candidate will report to the Chief Accountant. He/She will be responsible to the Chief Accountant in carrying out the Enterprise’s financial transactions including receiving, disbursing, and recording cash and cheque payments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all cash transactions, including receiving, disbursing, and recording cash and cheque payments.
- Maintain accurate daily records of all cash movements and transactions.
- Prepare and reconcile daily cash reports and bank deposits.
- Ensure the security of all cash and financial documents under their control.
- Process payments and receipts in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prepare and handle petty cash payment documents.
- Provide supporting documentation for audits.
- Interact with members, suppliers, and staff in a professional and courteous manner.
- Assist with basic accounting duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:
- Diploma in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Cashier or in a similar financial role.
- Proven ability to handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records.
- High level of integrity, trustworthiness, and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- A comprehensive understanding of the operational framework of cooperatives in Tanzania is a significant advantage.
