JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Executive Director of Mbinga District Council invites qualified Tanzanians who are willing to work in Mbinga District Council to apply for the positions mentioned below, after receiving an employment permit with Ref. No. FA. 97/288/01/A/25 dated 29 April, 2025 from the Permanent Secretary, President's Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance:-
1.0 OFFICE SECRETARY II - 05 POSITIONS
1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF OFFICE SECRETARY II
i. To type letters, reports, and other documents of a general and confidential nature.
ii. To receive visitors, inquire about their needs, and direct them to where they can be assisted.
iii. To maintain records and a diary of events, appointments, visitors, meeting dates, the superior's travels, and other work schedules.
iv. To find files and documents required for the execution of duties.
v. To receive and distribute files to the respective officers in the Department/Unit/Section.
vi. To collect, maintain, and return files and documents to their respective places.
vii. To prepare meeting agendas and make preparations for various meetings; and
viii. To prepare a list of office supply requirements.
1.2 APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS
Employment is open to Form Four graduates with a Diploma in Secretarial Studies or an NTA level 6 certificate in Secretarial Studies. Additionally, they must have passed Swahili and English Shorthand at 80 words per minute and be proficient in office computer programs such as: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, E-mail, and Publisher from any government-recognized college.
1.3 SALARY SCALE
The position of Office Secretary II has a salary scale of TGS C per month.
2.0 RECORDS ASSISTANT II - 04 POSITIONS
2.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF RECORDS ASSISTANT II
i. To list incoming mail in the incoming correspondence register.
ii. To list outgoing mail in the outgoing correspondence register.
iii. To distribute files to Action Officers.
iv. To receive files returning to the registry from Action Officers.
v. To retrieve records/documents/files required by officials.
vi. To return files to shelves/filing cabinets or other storage locations.
vii. To track file movement within the institution (File Tracking).
2.2 APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant must possess a Form Four (IV) or Form Six (VI) certificate and have graduated with a Diploma or NTA level 6 in the field of records management from a Government-recognized College, and be computer literate.
2.3 SALARY SCALE:
The position of Records Assistant II has a salary scale of TGS C per month.
3.0 DRIVER II - 08 POSITIONS
3.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF DRIVER II:
i. To inspect the vehicle before and after a trip to ascertain its safety condition.
ii. To drive employees to various locations on official business trips.
iii. To perform minor vehicle maintenance.
iv. To collect and distribute various documents.
v. To clean the vehicle.
vi. To fill in and maintain a logbook of all trips.
3.2 APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS:
Employment is open to individuals with a Form Four (Form IV) certificate and a Class C or E driver's license, which they have used for at least one year without causing an accident. They must have attended a Basic Driving Course offered by VETA, NIT, or another government-recognized college.
3.3 SALARY SCALE:
The position of Driver II has a salary scale of TGS B.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
i. All applicants must be citizens of Tanzania aged between 18 and 45 years.

vi. Applicants who studied outside the country must ensure their certificates are verified and approved by the relevant authorities (TCU, NECTA, and NACTE).
vii. Applicants who have been retired from the Public Service are not allowed to apply unless they have permission from the Chief Secretary.
viii. Legal action will be taken against those who submit fraudulent information and qualifications.
ix. The deadline for submitting job applications is 11 September, 2025.

JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Executive Director of Tarime District Council (D) invites qualified Tanzanians to apply for ten (10) job vacancies in this Council after obtaining a permit from the President's Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance, with the following breakdown:
1.0 OFFICE SECRETARY GRADE II - FIVE (05) POSITIONS
1.1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Must have completed Form Four (Form IV) or Form Six (Form VI) education, graduated with a Diploma in Secretarial studies (NTA LEVEL 6). Must have passed Swahili and English Shorthand at 100 words per minute. Must have received computer training from any government-recognized college and obtained a certificate in "Windows, Microsoft Office, Internet, E-mail, and Publisher" programs.
1.1.3 SALARY;
IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE GOVERNMENT SALARY SCALE TGS 'C'
1.2 DRIVER GRADE II - (05) POSITIONS
1.2.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(i) To inspect the vehicle before and after a trip to ascertain its safety condition;

(vii) To perform other duties as directed by his/her Supervisor.
1.2.2 APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS
Employment is open to individuals with a Form Four (Form IV) certificate and a Class E or C driver's license, which they have used for at least one (1) year without causing an accident, along with training certificates that qualified them for the respective grades. They must have attended a Basic Driving Course offered by VETA or another government-recognized College.
1.2.3 SALARY will be paid in accordance with the Government salary scale TGS 'B'.
GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR APPLICANTS
