Position 1: Drivers – 3
Reports to: Zonal Coordinator/Administration Officer
Duty Station: Zonal Office
Duration: 1-year contract (renewable subject to performance and funding availability)
Introduction:
The Ministry of Health, through Global Fund Cycle 7 (GFC7) Grant support, is implementing essential TB/HIV Community-based Programs (Oct 2025 – Dec 2026) to sustain and expand community HIV and TB services. The program is implemented in collaboration with the Lead CSO – Christian Social Services Commission (CSSC) and four Sub-sub recipients (TAYOA, NACOPHA, MKUTA, and STEPS). It focuses on the provision of community-based TB/HIV services across 184 councils, prioritizing peer-led service delivery and integration with Local Government Authorities.
Job Summary:
The Driver will perform duties of driving project vehicles to ensure safe transportation of authorized personnel and/or equipment/supplies. S/he will ensure that vehicles are safe, secure, and well maintained.
Roles and Responsibilities:

Provide periodic usage reports of vehicle including mileage, fuel consumption, and expenditure.

Abide by traffic rules, safety manuals, and supervisor’s instructions.

Ensure accurate logbook entries for each travel.
-
Transport staff, visitors, and equipment/materials safely.
-
Maintain vehicles (fuel, oil, lubrication, interior and exterior).

Prepare mileage and fuel consumption reports.
-
Report and oversee vehicle maintenance and repair needs.
-
Maintain vehicle first aid kit, fire extinguisher, and communication equipment.

Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications & Experience:
-
Certificate of Secondary Education or Driving Certificate from a recognized Driving College.

Advanced Driving Course Certificate from NIT or VETA.

Valid Driving License class B, C, D, and E.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a driver with International Organizations or Local NGOs.

Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and routine checks.

Ability to adapt to various road and weather conditions.

Awareness and adherence to road safety regulations.

Job Summary:
The Zonal AGYW Officer will oversee the quality implementation of behavioral, structural, and biomedical interventions targeting Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW). S/he will collaborate with R/CHMTs, local CSOs, health facilities, and other implementing partners to strengthen linkages and tracking of AGYW services layering, ensuring effective delivery of HIV combination prevention interventions.
Roles and Responsibilities:

Support design and roll out of AGYW interventions (biomedical, structural, and behavioral).

Facilitate community empowerment and capacity building activities.
-
Support AGYW enrolment, retention, and service delivery.
-
Link GBV survivors to appropriate health and legal services.
-
Address gender roles, cultural norms, and rights-based programming.
-
Build capacity of peer educators and service providers.
-
Organize monthly peer educators’ meetings for updates and reviews.
-
Collaborate with government officials (CHAC, DACC, social welfare, police, etc.) for effective implementation.
-
Strengthen referrals between facilities and community service delivery points.
-
Provide technical support to CSOs, CHWs, and peer educators.
-
Support peer-led sessions, parenting interventions, and AGYW economic strengthening activities.
-
Work with M&E Officers for data quality, reporting, and documentation of best practices.
-
Coordinate with CHMT for quarterly data entry into DHIS2.

Supervise AGYW peer educators in service delivery.
Qualifications & Experience:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Health, Sociology, Social Work, Community Development, or related fields.
-
Prior work experience in OVC, HIV, or AGYW-related programs.
-
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in public health or HIV/TB program management.
-
Experience coordinating public health projects, M&E, and community engagement.
-
Knowledge of HIV prevention policies, AGYW programming, and counseling.
-
Strong skills in data management, project tracking, and reporting.

Experience in capacity building and partnership development.
