CONTRACT JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

The Director of Tunduma Town Council invites all qualified Tanzanians to apply for three (03) month contract positions for revenue collection within Tunduma Town Council.
POSITION: REVENUE COLLECTION CLERKS (MAKANI) - 50 POSITIONS
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To collect revenue within the Council using Electronic Revenue Collection Machines (POS).
- To ensure that all collected revenue is deposited into the Council's bank account on time.
- To ensure that all required revenues are collected correctly by the Council.
- To keep records for accountability.
- To take good care of the revenue collection machines (POS).
- To provide daily collection reports to the Council.
- To perform any other duties as assigned by their Supervisor.
NB: SALARY IS TANZANIAN SHILLINGS 200,000 (TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND PER MONTH).
Employment is for those with Form Four Education and a Certificate who have an understanding of using a smartphone, as all Government revenue collection is done using Electronic Revenue Collection Machines (POS) which are equivalent to a smartphone. Applicants with qualifications higher than those mentioned above will not be considered.
REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICANTS
- Must be a citizen of Tanzania.
- Must be a Form Four/Six graduate.
- Must not be a Government employee.
- Must be between 18 - 45 years of age.
- Must be of good conduct with no criminal record.
- Applicants must attach a detailed personal statement (Detailed CV) with their phone number and the names of two guarantors (Referees) with their correct address and phone number.
- The application letter must be accompanied by a copy of all professional certificates and the applicant's birth certificate.
- Must have a National ID Card / NIDA Number.
- Must be ready to be assigned to any revenue collection station within Tunduma Town.
- Must be trustworthy in collecting Government Revenue and ensuring the money is not lost.
- Must be ready to follow instructions given without violating the principles of the contract.

NB: This announcement does not concern permanent employees who are already working in revenue collection within the Town Council.
