Job Opportunity: Business Development Manager at Ramani

Ramani is hiring a driven and experienced Business Development Manager to expand our network of high-quality customers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building close relationships with FMCG resellers and major brands such as Coca-Cola, Diageo, and TBL, showcasing the benefits of Ramani's financing and software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deal Origination: Independently originate, negotiate, and sign high-quality customers. Manage a sales pipeline, ensure accurate sales forecasts, and identify strategic priorities to achieve revenue goals.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with FMCG resellers.
  • Market Development: Develop the market by building relationships with Regional Sales Managers at category-leading brands to position the benefits of Ramani.
  • Market Intelligence: Provide crucial feedback on local trends, competitor insights, and industry movements to help shape Ramani’s market strategies.
  • Strategic Initiatives: Collaborate across departments to enhance sales processes and execute multiple strategic and ad-hoc projects.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven track record of working in sales/growth teams to exceed targets.
  • Approximately 3+ years of experience in FMCG or Financial Services focused on new customer acquisition.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Previous experience at a startup or early-stage company.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a self-driven attitude toward challenges.
  • Flexibility to travel to various regions in Tanzania as required.
