We are a select implementing partner for the Msingi Tek program in Ruvuma, helping to empower young learners. Msingi Tek is a tablet-based program that provides supplementary learning for students in Standards 1, 2, and 3 to strengthen foundational literacy and numeracy skills.
The Role:
As a Digital Education Supervisor, you will oversee up to 10 schools, ensuring the long-term success of the Msingi Tek program. Your work will involve maintaining functional hardware, ensuring learning sessions run smoothly, and building the capacity of headteachers and teachers to sustain the program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment and Infrastructure: Ensure the installation and completion of hardware, software, and infrastructure in schools.
- Teacher Training: Host training sessions for teachers to foster ownership and best practices for equipment and session management.
- Time-on-Task Monitoring: Ensure every child reaches the target of 120 minutes of tablet use per week by tracking data and working with schools to address gaps.
- Community Engagement: Conduct sensitization efforts to educate the community about the program and foster long-term support.
- Data Management: Ensure 100% of tablets report data accurately and use the data to provide actionable feedback to stakeholders.
- School Oversight: Conduct weekly school visits for the first few months, followed by bi-weekly visits, to support, problem-solve, and celebrate successes.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Community Development, Education, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in engaging rural communities and driving adult behaviour change initiatives.
- Experience working with local government counterparts at the ward or district level.
- Experience implementing technology-based interventions or digital programs.
- Strong data skills, with experience in MEAL processes, and a passion for impact.
- Experience engaging with teachers and headteachers is valued.
