PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT
EXTENSION OF THE FIRST DEGREE ADMISSION PERIOD FOR PROGRAMMES WITH VACANCIES FOR THE 2025/2026 ACADEMIC YEAR
The Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) would like to inform the public, Higher Education Institutions, and all stakeholders that it has extended the admission period by opening the Third and Final Round of Admission, which will run from 06th to 10th October, 2025.
This round has been opened for:
1. Applicants who were unable to submit their admission applications in previous rounds.
2. Applicants who did not secure an admission place in the earlier rounds.
3. University programmes that still have vacant places.
Applicants are advised to use this opportunity wisely by submitting their admission applications to their preferred universities within the specified period.
PROCEDURE FOR THE THIRD ROUND:
S/N DATE ACTIVITY
1 06 - 10 October, 2025 Submission of admission applications in the Third Round.
2 14 - 16 October, 2025 Universities to submit the names of selected applicants to TCU.
3 20 October, 2025 Universities to announce the names of selected applicants in the Third Round.
4 20 October - 03 November, 2025 Confirmation of admission for applicants selected by more than one university and those who failed to confirm their admission in previous rounds.
APPLICANTS SELECTED BY MORE THAN ONE UNIVERSITY (SECOND ROUND):
Applicants who were selected by more than one university in the Second Round and those who were unable to confirm their admission in the First Round,must confirm their admission at one university from 06th to 19th October, 2025. Confirmation is done through the university's admission system using a special code sent via SMS or to the email address used during the application.

All matters related to admission or admission confirmation should be communicated directly to the respective universities.
