The Secretary of the Public Service Recruitment Secretariat, on behalf of Local Government Authorities, invites job applications from qualified Tanzanians to fill 6,732 vacant positions as detailed in this announcement.
1.0 MEDICAL SPECIALIST PEDIATRICIAN II (3 POSITIONS)
1.1 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
i. Perform all hospital medical duties related to pediatric diseases.
ii. Teach students in health training institutions within the work area.
iii. Investigate, monitor, and prevent disease outbreaks.
iv. Prepare continuing education materials for health workers.
v. Train and supervise subordinate staff.
vi. Conduct and evaluate research and disseminate findings.
vii. Develop strategies to improve service quality in the field.
viii. Provide outreach services in the region.
ix. Offer medical-legal services.
x. Participate in formulating and implementing government health policies.
xi. Advise the Ministry on health sector operations.
xii. Serve on medical boards for health-related staff retirements.
xiii. Develop curricula for health worker training.
xiv. Prepare health service budgets and plans.
1.1.1 QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Pediatrics from a recognized university.
- Must be registered with the Tanganyika Medical Council.
1.1.2 SALARY SCALE:
TGHS G (Government Salary Scale).
