IMPROVEMENTS IN THE EMPLOYMENT PORTAL SYSTEM
1. FILLING IN SECONDARY EDUCATION INFORMATION
Following improvements made to the Employment Portal system, job applicants who have already registered their information on the Employment Portal are required to update their secondary education details by entering their Form Four National Examination Index Number in the "Academic Qualifications" section. For those who completed Form Six, they must also enter their Form Six National Examination Index Number in their Employment Portal account under the Form Six information section.
These changes are mandatory, as job applicants will not be able to proceed with submitting job applications until their Form Four and Form Six education details have been updated.
Additionally, due to these improvements, applicants will no longer be required to upload copies of their Form Four and Form Six certificates on the Employment Portal. Instead, they will only need to provide their Form Four and Form Six Index Numbers. By doing so, their information will be retrieved directly from the system managed by the NATIONAL EXAMINATIONS COUNCIL OF TANZANIA.
For applicants who studied Form Four and Form Six outside the country, they are also affected by these changes and will use the ‘equivalence number’ issued by the NATIONAL EXAMINATIONS COUNCIL OF TANZANIA to update their information.
2. FILLING IN APPLICANTS' COURSE INFORMATION
This section has been improved based on stakeholder feedback. Previously, users were required to first select a ‘category’ followed by their course. Now, users can directly search for their course without considering which category it belongs to and then select it.
3. NEW LOOK OF THE EMPLOYMENT PORTAL SYSTEM
Technological advancements have also enhanced the appearance of our system, making it more user-friendly, especially for those using mobile devices.
NB: THESE IMPROVEMENTS ARE SPECIFIC TO THE EMPLOYMENT PORTAL SYSTEM ONLY. WHEN SHORTLISTED CANDIDATES ARE CALLED FOR INTERVIEWS, THEY MUST BRING THEIR ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES STARTING FROM FORM FOUR AND ABOVE.
