The Public Service Recruitment Secretariat (PSRS), known in Swahili as Sekretarieti ya Ajira katika Utumishi wa Umma, is a government body established under Section 29(1) of the Public Service Act No. 8 of 2002, as amended in 2007. Its main responsibility is to facilitate recruitment and placement of public servants in government institutions. Operating under the President’s Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance, the Secretariat ensures that all recruitment processes in the public sector are transparent, merit-based, and adhere to national employment regulations.
The Secretariat plays a vital role in strengthening human resource management within the government.
