The Head of the Government Information and Communication Unit, Ms. Lynn Chawala, has said that applicants for the 12,000 teaching positions will be called for interviews soon. Ms. Chawala made the remarks during an interview with Abood FM in Morogoro on the Morning Special program over the weekend.
Ms. Chawala stated that the processing of the applications is in its final stages, and soon the applicants will be called for interviews that will be conducted nationwide in every region where the candidates are located.
Additionally, Ms. Chawala emphasized that job applicants must log into their Ajira Portal accounts under the Personal Details section, then go to the Current Residence section and update their residential addresses before 6th December 2025, as the information shown there will be used to assign their interview centers.
Therefore, if a candidate intends to attend the interview in a particular region, they must ensure that the information filled in indicates the region where they intend to take the interview so they can be assigned to that region.
Ms. Chawala urged job applicants who will be called for the interviews to ensure they arrive with their original documents, including academic certificates and identification. She added that those whose names differ across their documents must obtain name verification documents either a Deed Poll from the Ministry of Lands or an Affidavit from a Lawyer depending on the type of discrepancy in their documents, as failure to do so will result in the candidate not being allowed to take the interview on the interview day.
