JOB VACANCIES ANNOUNCEMENT

Kolandoto College of Health Sciences is a training institution owned by Africa Inland Church Tanzania (AICT). It is accredited to offer training in health sciences programmes at the level of Ordinary Diploma. The Principal hereby invites qualified and motivated professionals to apply for employment in the following vacant positions:

1.0 MEDICAL DOCTOR TUTOR – 3 POSTS

1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Adherence to professional ethics;
ii. Ability to design, set, administer and supervise different assessment items;
iii. Ability to recognize students having difficulties, intervene and provide help and support;
iv. Ability to use computers or learn various emerging computer skills and their application;
v. Ability to prepare and deliver own teaching materials;
vi. Potential to be a good role model and steer students towards dedication to learning, creativity and problem solving;
vii. Possession of sufficient breadth and depth of knowledge in the relevant discipline and of teaching methods and techniques to work within own area;
viii. Ability to carry out independent research and provide feedback;
ix. Ability to supervise research and other knowledge generating and development activities;
x. Perform any other duties that may be assigned by a relevant authority.

1.2 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
i. Holder of a Degree in Doctor of Medicine (MD) from a recognized Institution;
ii. Should have at least two (2) years of practice experience in the relevant field.

2.0 NURSING OFFICER TUTOR – 2 POSTS

2.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Adherence to professional ethics;
ii. Ability to design, set, administer and supervise different assessment items;
iii. Ability to recognize students having difficulties, intervene and provide help and support;
iv. Ability to use computers or learn various emerging computer skills and their application;
v. Ability to prepare and deliver own teaching materials;
vi. Potential to be a good role model and steer students towards dedication to learning, creativity and problem solving;
vii. Possession of sufficient breadth and depth of knowledge in the relevant discipline and of teaching methods and techniques to work within own area;
viii. Ability to carry out independent research and provide feedback;

2.2 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
i. Holder of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a recognized University;
ii. Should have at least two (2) years of practice experience in the relevant field.

3.0 PHARMACIST TUTOR – 6 POSTS

3.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Adherence to professional ethics;
ii. Ability to design, set, administer and supervise different assessment items;
iii. Ability to recognize students having difficulties, intervene and provide help and support;
iv. Ability to use computers or learn various emerging computer skills and their application;
v. Ability to prepare and deliver own teaching materials;

3.2 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
i. Holder of a Bachelor of Pharmacy from a recognized Institution;
ii. Should have at least two (2) years of practice experience in the relevant field.

5.0 PHYSIOTHERAPIST TUTOR – 3 POSTS

5.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Adherence to professional ethics;
ii. Ability to design, set, administer and supervise different assessment items;
iii. Ability to recognize students having difficulties, intervene and provide help and support;
iv. Ability to use computers or learn various emerging computer skills and their application;
v. Ability to prepare and deliver own teaching materials;

5.2 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
i. Holder of a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from a recognized Institution.

6.0 MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENTIST TUTOR – 3 POSTS

6.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Adherence to professional ethics;
ii. Ability to design, set, administer and supervise different assessment items;
iii. Ability to recognize students having difficulties, intervene and provide help and support;
iv. Ability to use computers or learn various emerging computer skills and their application;

6.2 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
i. Holder of a Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences or Bachelor of Sciences in Health Laboratory from a recognized Institution;
ii. Should have at least two (2) years of practice experience in the relevant field.

7.0 RADIOLOGY SCIENTIST TUTOR – 3 POSTS

7.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Adherence to professional ethics;
ii. Ability to design, set, administer and supervise different assessment items;
iii. Ability to recognize students having difficulties, intervene and provide help and support;
iv. Ability to use computers or learn various emerging computer skills and their application;
v. Ability to prepare and deliver own teaching materials;
vi. Potential to be a good role model and steer students towards dedication to learning, creativity and problem solving;
vii. Possession of sufficient breadth and depth of knowledge in the relevant discipline and of teaching methods and techniques to work within own area;
viii. Ability to carry out independent research and provide feedback;
ix. Ability to supervise research and other knowledge generating and development activities;
x. Perform any other duties that may be assigned by a relevant authority.

7.2 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Holder of a Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging, Medical Imaging and Radiotherapy, or Bachelor of Sciences in Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiography from a recognized Institution.

8.0 LOGISTICS AND PROCUREMENT OFFICER – 1 POST

8.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Supplier sourcing and management;
ii. Cost control and budget management;
iii. Inventory and logistics coordination;
iv. Marketing analysis and strategic planning;
v. Technical and analytical skills;
vi. Developing negotiation and communication skills;
vii. To perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

8.2 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
i. Holder of a Diploma in Procurement and Logistics Management or Diploma in Procurement and Supply from a recognized Institution;
ii. Should have at least two (2) years of practice experience in the relevant field.

9.0 WARDEN – 1 POST

9.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Security and Safety: Maintaining physical security, managing access, conducting rounds, preventing hazards, and ensuring overall safety;
ii. Emergency Management: Leading fire drills, coordinating evacuations, liaising with emergency services, and responding to crises (fire, medical);
iii. Discipline and Rules: Establishing, enforcing, and reporting violations of rules, handling misconduct, and managing disciplinary actions;
iv. Resident/Staff Welfare: Ensuring a healthy environment, supervising food and cleanliness, organizing activities, and providing support for well-being;
v. Administration: Managing admissions and allotments, maintaining records (attendance, property), and writing reports;
vi. To perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

9.2 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
i. Holder of a Bachelor in Sociology or Diploma in any Health-related programme;
ii. Should be not less than forty (40) years of age. Female applicants are highly encouraged to apply;
iii. Should have at least two (2) years of practice experience in the relevant field.

10.0 LABORATORY TECHNICIAN TUTOR – 3 POSTS

10.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Adherence to professional ethics;

iii. Ability to recognize students having difficulties, intervene and provide help and support;
iv. Ability to use computers or learn various emerging computer skills and their application;

10.2 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
i. Holder of a Diploma in Laboratory Science and Technology from a recognized Institution;
ii. Should have at least two (2) years of practice experience in the relevant field.
