JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Executive Director of Kilwa District Council announces to qualified Tanzanian citizens to apply for three (03) job vacancies in this Council after obtaining approval from the President's Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance, as detailed below:
1.0 DRIVER GRADE II – 3 POSTS
1.1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Inspect the vehicle before and after trips to determine its safety condition;
ii. Drive staff to various locations on official trips;
iii. Perform minor vehicle repairs;
iv. Collect and distribute various documents;
v. Record and maintain details of all trips in the vehicle logbook;
vi. Clean the vehicle; and
vii. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
1.1.2 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Applicants must possess a Form Four Certificate (O-Level) and a valid Class E or C driving license, and must have worked for not less than one (1) year without causing an accident. Applicants must have training certificates that qualified them to obtain the respective driving license classes and must have attended a Basic Driving Course offered by VETA or another Government-recognized institution.

GENERAL CONDITIONS
i. All applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged not above 45 years;
ii. Applicants must attach a Birth Certificate;
iii. Applicants must attach a comprehensive and detailed Curriculum Vitae (C.V) with reliable contact addresses, telephone numbers, and names of reliable referees;
iv. Applicants must attach copies of academic certificates, including Form Four and Form Six certificates (for those who reached that level), and certificates for relevant trainings, and submit them through the Ajira Portal;
v. Testimonials, “Provisional Results”, “Statements of Results”, Form Four and Form Six result slips are not acceptable;
vi. Applicants for the Driver Grade II post with Class E or C licenses must attach driver training certificates that qualified them to obtain the said license classes;
vii. Applicants must upload two (02) recent passport size photographs on the Ajira Portal;
viii. Applicants who studied abroad must ensure their certificates are verified and validated by relevant authorities such as TCU, NECTA, and NACTE;
ix. Applicants who retired from Public Service are not allowed to apply unless they have permission from the Chief Secretary;
x. Applicants who are already employed in entry-level positions within the Public Service should not apply and must adhere to the directives in Circular Ref. No. CAC.45/257/01/D/140 dated 30th November, 2010;
xi. Submission of false information and credentials will result in legal action against the culprits;
xii. The deadline for submitting applications is 13th January, 2026;
