ANNOUNCEMENT OF INDUSTRIAL TRAINING POSITIONS
Kiomboi Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (KIUWASA) is a Public Institution under the Ministry of Water established by the Water Supply and Sanitation Act No. 5 of 2019. The Authority is mandated to manage the availability and distribution of clean water in Kiomboi Town and other areas as may be directed by the Honourable Minister responsible for Water.
The Authority invites applications for industrial training positions from qualified Tanzanians with the following qualifications:
APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS
1.0 Artisan (Plumber)
a) Must be a Tanzanian aged between 18–45 years.
b) Must have completed Form IV.
c) Must possess a Level II Artisan Certificate in Plumbing, Level II Artisan Certificate in Electrical Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical Technician), or equivalent qualifications from a Government-recognized institution.
d) Must be disciplined, obedient, and mentally sound.
e) Must be a resident of Singida Region.
1.1 Artisan (Plumber) – 2 Positions
Duties and Responsibilities
i. Reading customer meters and preparing meter reading reports.
ii. Reporting faulty meters to the responsible Officer.
iii. Promoting leak detection and water loss control efforts.
iv. Preparing monthly customer consumption reports for the respective zones.
v. Handling and reporting water leakages.
vi. Handling and reporting water losses, damage to water infrastructure, and advising on proper control measures.
vii. Preparing performance reports and submitting them to the supervisor.
viii. Performing any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
1.2 Artisan (Mechanical/Electrical Technician) – 1 Position
Duties and Responsibilities
i. Conducting inspections of machinery, equipment, and water facilities in accordance with established procedures.
ii. Performing maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, motors, and electrical installations.
iii. Coordinating readiness, condition, and preventive maintenance schedules and ensuring proper implementation.
iv. Advising on the selection of electrical equipment based on technical feasibility and required services.
v. Recommending rules, regulations, and procedures for installation of electrical equipment and ensuring compliance by all concerned staff.
vi. Promoting electrical works for new projects to be implemented by the Authority.
vii. Ensuring that power fluctuation problems are properly addressed.
viii. Preparing periodic reports on repairs and maintenance of machinery as required by management.
ix. Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

i. All applications should be submitted to the Registry Office of Kiomboi Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (KIUWASA) from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. through the following address:

ii. The deadline for receiving applications is Friday, 19th December, 2025.
iii. Interviews will be conducted for shortlisted applicants.
iv. Applicants must possess a valid motorcycle riding license.
v. The training duration shall be one year.
