SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY FOR THE MASTER OF ADVANCED STUDIES IN EUROPEAN AND INTERNATIONAL GOVERNANCE (MEIG PROGRAMME) FOR THE 2026–2027 ACADEMIC YEAR
Call for Applications
The Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology invites qualified and interested Tanzanians to apply for the Master of Advanced Studies in European and International Governance (MEIG Programme) Scholarship offered by the University of Geneva, in cooperation with the United Nations Office at Geneva. This prestigious programme provides advanced training in European and international governance. Admission Requirements
Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
i. Hold a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of Upper Second Class; and
ii. Demonstrate genuine financial need on the part of the applicant, as well as their immediate and extended family members, employers, or any other persons who would otherwise be able to contribute to the financing of the applicant’s studies.
List of Supporting Documents
Applicants are required to submit the following supporting documents. All documents must be in English or translated into English (official certification of translations is not required):
i. Copies of official statements of income for all individuals contributing to the applicant’s household finances, including the applicant;
ii. An official statement from a bank or other savings institution and/or tax forms indicating available funds and assets;
iii. Copies of responses to other scholarship and/or loan applications, including those from employers where applicable;
iv. A copy of a medical certificate, including HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis B/C test results;
v. A copy of a valid passport confirming the applicant’s identification details; and
vi. A completed statement of motivation of not more than 500 words, written in English, explaining the main reasons for requesting the scholarship.
