JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The District Executive Director of Same District Council invites qualified Tanzanians to apply for six (06) vacant posts in this Council, after obtaining approval from the President’s Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance, as detailed below:
1.0 DRIVER GRADE II (06 POSTS)
1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. To inspect the vehicle before and after trips in order to determine its safety condition;
ii. To transport staff to various destinations during official trips;
iii. To perform minor vehicle repairs;
iv. To collect and distribute various documents;
v. To record and maintain information for all trips in the vehicle logbook;
vi. To clean the vehicle;
vii. To perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
1.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT
Applicants must have a Form IV level of education and possess a valid Class E or C Driving License with at least one (1) year of driving experience without causing an accident. Applicants must also have training certificates that qualify them to obtain the respective class of driving license and must have attended a Basic Driving Course offered by a Government-recognized institution.

GENERAL CONDITIONS
i. All applicants must be Citizens of the United Republic of Tanzania;
ii. Applicants must attach an up-to-date Curriculum Vitae (CV) with reliable contact addresses, email addresses, and telephone numbers;
iii. Applicants must attach certified copies of the following documents:
a) Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma/Certificates;
b) Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma transcripts;
c) Form IV and Form VI National Examination Certificates;
d) Birth Certificate;
iv. Attaching copies of the following documents is strictly not accepted:
a) Form IV and Form VI results slips;
b) Testimonials and all partial transcripts;
v. Applicants who are currently employed in the Public Service must channel their application letters through their respective employers;
vi. Applicants who have retired or were retired from the Public Service for any reason should not apply;
vii. Applicants must indicate three (3) reputable referees with their reliable contact details;
viii. Certificates from foreign examination bodies for Ordinary or Advanced Level education must be verified by the National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA) and the National Council for Technical Education (NACTE);
ix. Certificates from foreign universities must be verified by the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU);
x. Applicants with special needs (disabilities) are advised to indicate accordingly;
xi. A signed application letter written in either Swahili or English must be addressed to the District Executive Director, Same District Council, P.O. Box 138, Same, and submitted through the Recruitment Portal. This address may also be used for hand delivery of applications. Applicants must clearly indicate the position applied for on top of the envelope. APPLICATIONS SUBMITTED THROUGH EMAIL WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
