The University of Dar es Salaam invites applications from suitably qualified Tanzanians to be considered for immediate employment to fill 18 academic vacant posts as follows:
1.1 TUTORIAL ASSISTANT (CROP SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY), LINDI CAMPUS – 1 POST
1.1.1 Department of Crop Science and Beekeeping Technology – CoAF
1.1.2 Duties and Responsibilities
i) To under-study senior members of academic staff by attending their lectures, seminars, tutorials and practicals;
ii) To carry out seminars, tutorials and practicals;
iii) To assist in research, consultancy, and public services;
iv) To undergo postgraduate training for a Master’s degree; and
v) To perform any other relevant duties as assigned by one’s superior.
1.1.3 Qualification and Experience
Bachelor of Science in any of the following; Crop Science and Technology, Agronomy, Horticulture, Crop Production and Management, and Meteorology. Applicants for this post must possess a Bachelor degree with a minimum GPA of 3.8 from a local or an internationally reputable University recognized by Tanzania Commission for Universities.

Applicant must be a holder of a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Bachelor of Science in Civil and Structural Engineering with a minimum GPA of 3.8 from a reputable institution in and outside the country.

1.5.1 Department of Transportation and Geotechnical Engineering – CoET

ii) To set, invigilate, and mark undergraduate examinations;
iii) To assist senior staff in lectures, seminars, tutorials and practicals for postgraduate programmes;

1.5.3 Qualification and Experience
Master of Science in any of the following: Highway Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Transportation Science, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Civil and Transportation Engineering and Transportation Engineering. Applicants for this post must possess a minimum GPA of 4.0 or a B+ average at Master’s degree level and an undergraduate degree with a minimum GPA of 3.8 from a local or an internationally reputable University recognized by the Tanzania Commission for Universities. They must be potentially good academically.

Applicants for this post must possess a minimum GPA of 4.0 or a B+ average at Master’s degree level and an undergraduate degree with a minimum GPA of 3.8 from a local or an internationally reputable University recognized by the Tanzania Commission for Universities.
