Sports Data Collection Intern – Sokametrics
Sokametrics is an organization involved in the collection, analysis, and distribution of match statistics for various stakeholders including players, teams, and sports institutions within Tanzania.
With the aim of expanding sports statistical data, Sokametrics is announcing Internship opportunities for students from the Tanzania Institute of Statistics (TIS).
Position:
Sports Data Collection Intern
Location:
Dar es Salaam (depending on match schedules)
Internship Duration:
2–3 Months (by agreement)
Intern Responsibilities:
• Collect match statistics (live data collection).
• Accurately complete match report forms.
• Perform video tagging and event coding.
• Assist in preparing databases of players and teams.
• Participate in the analysis unit (analysis team).
Applicant Qualifications:
• Must be a student at the Tanzania Institute of Statistics (TIS).
• Must have a good understanding of statistics and data analysis.
• Must have interest and knowledge in football (at least basic understanding of the game).
• Must have experience in using Excel or statistical software.
• Must be trustworthy, hardworking, and able to work within deadlines.
