Excellent College of Health and Allied Science is inviting applications from qualified and competent individuals to fill the position of Tutor in the following fields: Clinical Medicine, Medical Laboratory, Diagnostic Radiography, Clinical Dentistry, Clinical Nutrition, Optometry, and Physiotherapy.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicate clearly, correctly, and effectively with the college community.
- Prepare and provide teaching notes to students according to the assigned tutorial position.
- Provide tests, assignments, practical sessions, and training to students where necessary.
- Collaborate with other staff and students during organizational events and when addressing institutional matters.
- Maintain discipline among academic staff (tutors), non-academic staff, and students, ensuring adherence to the college’s values of faithfulness and hard work.
- Participate in faculty and other supportive staff meetings within the Pharmaceutical Sciences and Clinical Medicine Courses department.
- Act as an examination officer for the Pharmaceutical Sciences and Clinical Medicine Courses department.
- Plan student schedules effectively and manage student attendance.
- Provide academic, career, and personal guidance and counseling to prospective, new, and continuing students.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor Degree or Advanced Diploma in Medical Laboratory, Medicine, Diagnostic Radiography, Clinical Dentistry, Clinical Nutrition, Optometry, Physiotherapy, or other related fields.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Medical Schools or Health Training Institutions. Experienced candidates will be given preference.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an outgoing and pleasant personality, and a positive service attitude.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality results.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle stress in a demanding environment.
- Highly organized, strategic, result-oriented, flexible, and visionary mindset.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to assess information, draw conclusions, and communicate findings effectively.
