DENTAL THERAPIST
Haydom Lutheran Hospital (HLH) was first opened officially in 1955 with only 50 beds. It was built and run by Norwegian Lutheran Mission (Norway), until after independence. In 1963 it was handed over to the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Tanzania (ELCT), Mbulu Diocese. In the year 2010 the Government of Tanzania, through the Official government gazette, public Notice number 828 of 12 November 2010, upgraded HLH to become a Regional Referral Hospital for Manyara Region.
POSITION: DENTAL THERAPIST
TERMS OF CONTRACT: FULL TIME
DUTY POST: HAYDOM LUTHERAN HOSPITAL
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCES
· Diploma in Dental Therapy from a recognized institution.
· Registered with the Tanzania Medical Council or relevant professional regulatory authority.
· Possession of a valid practicing license.
· At least one (1) year working experience in a hospital or dental clinic will be an added advantage.
· Good communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work in a team and under minimal supervision.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Provide basic dental treatment and preventive oral health services.
· Conduct oral health education to patients and the community.
· Maintain proper patient records and ensure quality dental care services.
· Ensure adherence to infection prevention and control standards in the dental clinic.
· Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
