CONTRACT EMPLOYMENT VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Municipal Director of Tunduma Municipal Council invites qualified Tanzanian citizens to apply for temporary contract employment for a period of three (03) months in the collection of the Council’s internal revenue.

REVENUE COLLECTOR (CASHIER) – 100 POSITIONS

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Collecting the Council’s internal revenue using Electronic Point of Sale (POS) Machines.
  2. Ensuring that all collected funds are deposited into the Council’s bank accounts on time.
  3. Ensuring that all due revenues are collected accurately and honestly.
  4. Maintaining accounting records.
  5. Properly handling and safeguarding revenue collection machines (POS).
  6. Preparing and submitting daily revenue collection reports to the Council.
  7. Performing any other duties assigned by supervisors.

NOTE: MONTHLY SALARY – TZS 200,000 (TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND SHILLINGS PER MONTH)

All Government revenues will be collected through Electronic Point of Sale (POS) Machines integrated with a mobile phone system. Applicants possessing additional relevant qualifications beyond those listed below will receive special consideration.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS

  1. Must be a Tanzanian citizen.
  2. Must have completed Form Four, Form Six, or a Certificate qualification and be capable of using a smartphone.
  3. Must not be a Government employee.
  4. Must be between 18 and 45 years of age.
  5. Must not have any physical disability that would hinder performance of duties.
  6. Applicants must attach a detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) containing contact information and the names, addresses, and telephone numbers of two referees.
  7. Applications must be accompanied by copies of all academic certificates and the applicant’s birth certificate.
  8. Must possess a National Identification Card (NIDA) or National Identification Number.
  9. Must be willing to work at any revenue collection point within Tunduma Municipality.
  10. Must be trustworthy in the collection of Government revenue and in safeguarding Government funds.
  11. Must be willing to follow all instructions issued without violating the Council’s by-laws and regulations.
