CONTRACT EMPLOYMENT VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Municipal Director of Tunduma Municipal Council invites qualified Tanzanian citizens to apply for temporary contract employment for a period of three (03) months in the collection of the Council’s internal revenue.
REVENUE COLLECTOR (CASHIER) – 100 POSITIONS
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collecting the Council’s internal revenue using Electronic Point of Sale (POS) Machines.
- Ensuring that all collected funds are deposited into the Council’s bank accounts on time.
- Ensuring that all due revenues are collected accurately and honestly.
- Maintaining accounting records.
- Properly handling and safeguarding revenue collection machines (POS).
- Preparing and submitting daily revenue collection reports to the Council.
- Performing any other duties assigned by supervisors.
NOTE: MONTHLY SALARY – TZS 200,000 (TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND SHILLINGS PER MONTH)
All Government revenues will be collected through Electronic Point of Sale (POS) Machines integrated with a mobile phone system. Applicants possessing additional relevant qualifications beyond those listed below will receive special consideration.
APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS
- Must be a Tanzanian citizen.
- Must have completed Form Four, Form Six, or a Certificate qualification and be capable of using a smartphone.
- Must not be a Government employee.
- Must be between 18 and 45 years of age.
- Must not have any physical disability that would hinder performance of duties.
- Applicants must attach a detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) containing contact information and the names, addresses, and telephone numbers of two referees.
- Applications must be accompanied by copies of all academic certificates and the applicant’s birth certificate.
- Must possess a National Identification Card (NIDA) or National Identification Number.
- Must be willing to work at any revenue collection point within Tunduma Municipality.
- Must be trustworthy in the collection of Government revenue and in safeguarding Government funds.
- Must be willing to follow all instructions issued without violating the Council’s by-laws and regulations.
