Senior Program Manager – Agriculture
Department: Commercial – Food & Agriculture
Reporting to: Head of Agriculture
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of large-scale agribusiness and food systems programs.
- Mobilize and support smallholder farmers, youth, women, and Ag-MSMEs.
- Facilitate financial inclusion and access to Equity Bank products and services.
- Deliver training on agribusiness management, financial education, climate-smart agriculture, and digital technologies.
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement, farmer mentoring, and ecosystem development.
- Monitor project performance and prepare management reports.
- Build strategic partnerships and support grant funding opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Advanced degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness Management, Agricultural Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in agribusiness program management.
- At least 5 years in senior leadership roles managing large-scale agricultural programs.
- Strong experience in agricultural production, MSME development, market linkages, and financial inclusion.
Agriculture MSME and Farmer Cooperatives Trainer (2-Year Contract)
Department: Food & Agriculture Commercial
Reporting to: Program Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct training needs assessments for farmers, cooperatives, and agricultural MSMEs.
- Develop and deliver practical training programs and learning materials.
- Facilitate cooperative governance and institutional strengthening initiatives.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and post-training support.
- Promote financial literacy, access to finance, and market linkages.
- Support program implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
- Build capacity of agricultural enterprises to improve productivity and profitability.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Agribusiness, Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Extension, Cooperative Management, Rural Development, Entrepreneurship, Animal Production, Horticulture, Agroforestry, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in farmer training, cooperative development, or agricultural enterprise support.
- Experience in financial literacy, market linkages, and donor-funded agricultural programs is an added advantage.
Assistant Manager – Merchant Acquiring
Reporting to: Manager Merchant Acquiring
Key Responsibilities
- Drive growth of merchant businesses through POS, QR, e-Commerce, and Lipa Kwa Equity products.
- Acquire and retain merchants while strengthening customer relationships.
- Promote cross-selling of banking products and services.
- Monitor merchant portfolio performance and ensure service excellence.
- Support implementation of product innovations and digital payment solutions.
- Manage merchant transaction disputes, fraud monitoring, and risk management.
- Develop and implement marketing and business growth initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, ICT, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of banking experience with strong exposure to merchant acquiring, digital payments, POS, QR, and e-Commerce solutions.
- Strong business development, communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
