COMPREHENSIVE COMMUNITY BASED REHABILITATION IN TANZANIA (CCBRT)

POSITION 1: SOCIAL MEDIA OFFICER

Comprehensive Community Based Rehabilitation in Tanzania (CCBRT) aims to be the preferred provider of accessible specialised health services in Africa and serves as a healthcare social enterprise, and through development programmes in the community and for the most vulnerable. Committed to preventing lifelong disabilities wherever possible, CCBRT is also engaged in extensive maternal and newborn healthcare (MNHC) activities, including obstetric fistula repairs. Its Maternity and Newborn Wing serves as a referral centre for high-risk and emergency deliveries in the region of Dar es Salaam and the Eastern Zone of Tanzania.

CCBRT is looking for a creative and proactive Social Media Officer to manage the hospital's digital platforms and online engagement.

Your Role

The role involves creating and posting content that promotes hospital services, events, awareness campaigns, and public health education.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage all CCBRT social media platforms
  • Create and publish approved content including photos, videos, posters, announcements, and health education materials
  • Support live coverage of hospital events and activities
  • Monitor online engagement and respond to inquiries professionally
  • Ensure consistent branding and visibility across all digital platforms
  • Monitor performance metrics including reach, engagement, and follower growth

Your Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Digital Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • Minimum of 1–2 years' experience in social media management or digital communication
  • Experience in healthcare or NGO environment is an added advantage

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong social media management skills
  • Basic photography, videography, and graphic design skills
  • Experience using Canva, Meta Business Suite, video editing applications, and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

POSITION 2: HUMAN RESOURCES BUSINESS PARTNER (HRBP)

In order to strengthen the Human Resource Department, we are looking for an energetic, analytical HR Professional who will assist in the provision of all HR services towards our business units.

Your Role

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for the effective delivery of HR services using the HR Business Partnering approach. You will help to assess client needs, interpret and apply the CCBRT HR strategy and policies, rules and regulations, contribute to establishing internal procedures and providing solutions to a wide spectrum of complex HR issues. As HR Business Partner, you deliver a value-added service to line managers and employees by working in close collaboration with the line managers on all staff management issues.

On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for all HR matters for allocated departments that you serve as HRBP. This includes all HR administration (compliance matters, leave), Performance Management, Recruitment & Selection, Training Needs Assessment, Disciplinary Support, etc. As part of the HR team, you also will assist in the payroll administration and HRIS implementation.

Your Qualifications and Work Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or related study
  • Minimum 6 years of professional experience in a business environment conducting performance analysis and reporting with primary data collection, design of forms and data analysis
  • Experience with payroll administration
  • Ability to plan, organize, and structure work
  • Highly skilled in Excel, Word, and other word processing software programs
  • Good analytical and evaluative skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Good interpersonal skills and a client-oriented focus
  • Proficient in both English and Swahili
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

POSITION 4: DEPUTY PRINCIPAL – ACADEMICS AND RESEARCH

In order to strengthen our Medical Training College and existing team, we are looking for a Deputy Principal – Academics and Research.

The Role

Establishing, managing, and maintaining high academic standards at the CCBRT Medical Training College. Overseeing curriculum development, academic coordination, quality assurance, and faculty supervision to ensure excellence in teaching, learning, and research.

Academic Planning & Program Development

  • Ensure implementation of academic programmes in line with national and international standards
  • Support the accreditation process with relevant regulatory bodies
  • Participate in the design and expansion of future health-related programs

Teaching & Learning Management

  • Coordinate teaching schedules, course allocation, and academic calendars
  • Ensure effective delivery of lectures, clinical training, and practical sessions
  • Promote innovative teaching methods, including simulation and clinical exposure

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Monitor academic standards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Develop and implement internal quality assurance systems
  • Oversee examinations, assessments, and grading processes

Faculty Support & Development

  • Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and mentoring of academic staff
  • Organize continuous professional development (CPD) for lecturers
  • Conduct performance evaluations of teaching staff

Student Academic Support

  • Monitor student progress and academic performance
  • Address academic concerns, appeals, and disciplinary issues

Clinical & Industry Collaboration

  • Establish partnerships with primary hospitals and other teaching institutions for student clinical placements
  • Ensure students receive adequate supervised clinical exposure

Research & Innovation

  • Encourage research activities among staff and students
  • Support development of research policies and publications

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Foster effective relationships with government agencies, development partners, industry, alumni, and other stakeholders
  • Represent the university in administrative and operational matters as delegated by the Vice Chancellor

Administrative Duties

  • Act on behalf of the Vice Chancellor when required
  • Prepare academic reports and institutional documentation
  • Participate in strategic planning and institutional development

The Candidate

  • Holder of a Master's degree (or higher) in a health/medical-related field
  • Registered with a recognized professional body (where applicable)
  • 5 years' experience in teaching and academic leadership in a medical or health training institution
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum development and accreditation processes
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

POSITION 5: ASSISTANT NURSING OFFICERS (HEALTH VOLUNTEER)

Its Maternity and Newborn Wing serves as a referral centre for high-risk and emergency deliveries in the region of Dar es Salaam and the Eastern Zone of Tanzania.

To strengthen our nursing department, CCBRT is looking for dynamic and experienced Assistant Nursing Officers (Health Volunteer) to provide clinical nursing care at CCBRT in respective allocated areas (OPD, IPD, or OTD).

The Role

As an Assistant Nursing Officer, you will be expected to provide nursing care as per quality, safety regulations, and standards including maintaining patients' dignity at all times, ensuring all necessary preparations of the patient are completed before the patient sees the doctor or goes to consulting rooms/theatre. You will also assist doctors during patient examinations and/or surgeries as well as translate information from the patient to the doctor from Kiswahili to English and vice versa in case there is a language barrier.

You will communicate sensitive information concerning patients' medical conditions, counsel patients, perform clinical procedures, ensure proper recordkeeping on all activities, and control patient flow in the clinical area.

The positions are offered under CCBRT Health Volunteer terms and conditions.

The Candidate

  • Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery
  • Must be registered and have a valid licence from Tanzania Nursing and Midwifery Council
  • Good communication skills in English and Swahili
  • Flexible, multitasking, proactive, and eager to learn
