ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN (1)
Location: Dar es Salaam
Key Responsibilities
- Implement maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting for electrical systems, equipment, and tools.
- Inspect electrical systems and their components to evaluate conditions, identify necessary repairs, and recommend preventive maintenance.
- Install electrical system components to provide enhanced and/or upgraded electrical capabilities.
- Perform high-voltage switching and operate generators in support of operations.
- Diagnose causes of electrical problems or failures to identify equipment and/or system repairs.
- Provide quick/immediate response to emergency situations during and after working hours to resolve electrical breakdowns in the factory.
- Perform all work in compliance with applicable codes, standards, safety, and environmental regulations as assigned by the Head of Department.
Qualifications
- Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a medium to heavy processing industry. Experience in HDPE/uPVC pipe manufacturing or a similar industry will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge and practical experience in implementing preventive maintenance systems.
- Experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of complete electrical systems.
- Knowledge of industrial automation, including pneumatics, hydraulics, and PLC systems, will be an added advantage.
- Ability to diagnose common equipment failures and identify root causes.
SOLID PIPE FABRICATOR & SITE WELDER (2)
Location: Dar es Salaam
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate solid pipe fittings and other types of fabricated fittings as per provided drawings and customer requirements.
- Read and interpret piping drawings for fittings and site work.
- Operate and work with various machines in the fabrication workshop and on-site, including cutting and lifting equipment, electro/socket fusion and butt fusion welding machines.
- Join the field service team to carry out site welding and installation as per customer requirements.
- Select, inspect, and use the correct equipment for assigned tasks.
- Complete pipe fabricator and welding training when provided by the company.
- Follow all quality procedures and complete record forms as required.
- Maintain a safe and clean workplace and surrounding environment at all times.
Qualifications
- Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Welding, Fabrication, Plumbing, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in plastics, butt fusion, electro fusion, or site work is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of quality and safety compliance.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Valid driving license.
- Experience in site installation, pipe laying, and testing activities is an added advantage.
