ANNOUNCEMENT
SHIMA GUARD COMPANY LIMITED, a company under the Tanzania Prisons Corporation, announces opportunities to join Capacity Building Training for Security Guard Services. The training will be conducted at Butimba Central Prison Grounds in Mwanza Region starting from 01/07/2026.
- APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS
• Must be a Tanzanian citizen.
• Must not be an alcoholic.
• Must be between 20 and 45 years of age.
• Must have no criminal conviction or criminal record.
• Must be of good character.
• Must be able to read and write Kiswahili or English fluently.
• Must be willing to work anywhere assigned upon completion of the training.
• Must be mentally sound.
• Must have no history of drug abuse.
• Must have a minimum height of 5.6 feet and above.
- APPLICATION LETTERS SHOULD BE ACCOMPANIED BY THE FOLLOWING ATTACHMENTS
• Recommendation letters from two (02) guarantors with identification from the local government (street/village authorities), including guarantors’ photographs and telephone numbers.
• An introduction letter from the Executive Officer/Chairperson of the local government where the applicant resides, including the Executive Officer’s/Chairperson’s telephone number.
• A copy of the National Identification Card (NIDA) or NIDA Number.
• Medical fitness forms from a Government Hospital.
• Copies of certificates for Local Militia (Mgambo) and National Service (JKT) training for applicants who attended such training.
• Copies of academic certificates and any professional skills certificates, where applicable.
