The Dodoma Youth Development Organization (DOYODO Tanzania) is a non-governmental organization dedicated to empowering young people and communities through development programs in the areas of economic empowerment, reproductive health, leadership, youth participation in decision-making, education, ICT, and the fight against gender-based violence.
To strengthen the implementation of its activities, DOYODO invites qualified, motivated, and passionate young people who are eager to learn and work in the community development sector to apply for volunteer positions as Project and Planning Officers.
Duty Station: Dodoma City
Applicant Qualifications:
- Must hold a Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diploma in one of the following fields:
- Community Development
- Social Sciences
- Project Management
- Or any other related field.
- Must have graduated from an institution recognized by the Government of Tanzania.
- Must be a Tanzanian citizen.
- Must be between 18 and 30 years of age.
- Must have a good understanding of youth development issues, community engagement, and project implementation.
- Must be able to prepare activity reports, project documents, and monitor project activities.
- Must possess good computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email communication.
- Must have good communication skills in both Kiswahili and English.
- Must be able to work effectively in a team, manage time efficiently, and perform assigned duties professionally.
- Previous volunteering experience or participation in community development activities will be an added advantage.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of project activities.
- Prepare project implementation reports.
- Coordinate training sessions, meetings, and community campaigns.
- Collect and maintain accurate project records and information.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders in implementing development activities.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
