SPECIAL SEASONAL FARM EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES – 2026/2027 AGRICULTURAL SEASON
UWASHAMIMBI Management invites qualified and capable Tanzanians to apply for seasonal employment opportunities for the 2026/2027 production season at the Mbigiri Sugarcane Farm. Applicants must be honest, disciplined, physically fit, and willing to work in accordance with the company's rules and regulations.
AVAILABLE POSITIONS
1. Farm Headmen / Headwomen – 15 Positions
Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily activities of workers under your team.
- Allocate duties and ensure work is completed efficiently and on time.
- Monitor employee attendance and discipline.
- Ensure proper use of working tools and equipment.
- Report work progress to the supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of Form Four education.
- Experience supervising farm workers will be an added advantage.
- Good leadership and communication skills.
- Honest, disciplined, and capable of making sound decisions.
2. Irrigation Headmen / Headwomen – 11 Positions
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily activities of irrigation workers.
- Allocate duties and ensure timely and efficient completion of work.
- Monitor employee attendance and discipline.
- Ensure proper use of work equipment.
- Report work progress to the supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of Form Four education.
- Experience supervising farm workers will be an added advantage.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Honest, disciplined, and capable of making sound decisions.
3. Farm Foremen – 4 Positions
Responsibilities
- Supervise all farm production activities.
- Coordinate implementation of work schedules.
- Monitor the use of farm inputs and equipment.
- Ensure the quality of farm operations.
- Prepare and submit work progress reports to management.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures.
Qualifications
- Certificate or Diploma in Agriculture or a related field.
- At least two years of experience supervising agricultural activities.
- Ability to lead teams and prepare reports.
- Computer skills will be an added advantage.
4. First Aider – 1 Position
Responsibilities
- Provide first aid services during emergencies.
- Maintain first aid equipment and supplies.
- Record all accident and injury incidents.
- Educate employees on health and safety practices.
- Coordinate with healthcare facilities when necessary.
Qualifications
- First Aid Certificate from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of Form Four education.
- Previous first aid experience will be an added advantage.
- Calm, attentive, and able to work under pressure.
5. Farm Security Guards – 15 Positions
Responsibilities
- Protect company property and farm premises.
- Control the movement of people and property.
- Conduct regular security patrols.
- Report all security incidents promptly.
- Work with management to prevent theft and property damage.
Qualifications
- Minimum of Form Four education.
- Physically fit and capable of performing security duties.
- Previous security experience will be an added advantage.
- Must have no criminal record.
6. Farm Service Team – 3 Positions
Responsibilities
- Provide support services for various farm operations.
- Distribute work materials and supplies.
- Assist with minor maintenance of equipment and infrastructure.
- Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Minimum of Form Four education.
- Ability to perform a variety of tasks efficiently.
- Disciplined, cooperative, and hardworking.
- Maintenance skills will be an added advantage.
7. Farmers – 245 Positions
Responsibilities
- Plant, weed, and maintain sugarcane crops.
- Keep work areas clean.
- Properly use farm tools and equipment.
- Follow health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Physically fit and capable of farm work.
- Willing to work hard and cooperate with others.
- Agricultural experience will be an added advantage.
8. Pump Attendants – 12 Positions
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor irrigation pumps.
- Ensure efficient water distribution.
- Report faults in pumps and irrigation equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the work area.
Qualifications
- Minimum of Form Four education.
- Experience operating pumps or irrigation systems will be an added advantage.
- Physically fit, disciplined, and willing to work shifts.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL APPLICANTS
- Must be a Tanzanian citizen.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be physically fit and able to work.
- Must demonstrate discipline, integrity, and willingness to follow company procedures.
- Must be willing to work on the farm throughout the production season.
