CONTRACT EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES (RE-ADVERTISEMENT)
The Executive Director of Chalinze District Council invites applications from qualified Tanzanian citizens to fill five (05) Driver Grade II positions and two (02) Heavy Equipment Operator Grade II positions on a contract basis.
1. DRIVER GRADE II (05 POSITIONS)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Transport employees to various official work destinations in accordance with driving laws, regulations, and procedures.
- Maintain and update the vehicle logbook for all official trips.
- Carry out minor vehicle maintenance.
- Ensure the vehicle and all its equipment remain in good working condition at all times.
- Perform any other duties related to the profession as assigned by the employer.
Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Have completed Form IV or Form VI education.
- Possess a valid Class C1 or Class E driving licence.
- Have at least one (1) year of accident-free driving experience.
- Have completed a Basic Driving Course from VETA or any other Government-recognized training institution.
2. HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR GRADE II (02 POSITIONS)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery under the supervision of an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator.
Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Have a Form IV Certificate.
- Possess a valid Class G Heavy Equipment Operator Licence.
- Have knowledge of operating and maintaining heavy equipment.
- Have relevant operating experience without causing accidents.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
- Applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 and 45 years.
- Applicants must attach a detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) with a current postal address, telephone number, email address, and the names of three (3) reliable referees.
- Provisional results, testimonials, statements of results, and Form IV or Form VI result slips will not be accepted.
- All applicants must attach a birth certificate certified by an Advocate/Lawyer.
- Retired public servants are not eligible to apply unless they have approval from the Chief Secretary.
- Applications must be accompanied by certified copies of academic and professional certificates, including Form IV, Form VI (where applicable), and all relevant training certificates required for the respective position.
- Submission of false information or forged documents will result in legal action.
- Application letters must be written in Kiswahili.
- Salaries will be paid according to the Contract Employees Salary Scale approved by the Council.
- The deadline for receiving applications is 22 July 2026.
