OPEN POSITIONS

1. Quantity Surveyor (3 Posts)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Measurements & Valuations
  • Tendering & Procurement
  • Cost Monitoring & Control
  • Contract Administration
  • Financial & Progress Reporting
  • Risk & Compliance Management

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or Building Economics.
  • Registration with the Architects and Quantity Surveyors Registration Board (AQRB) will be an added advantage.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of practical experience in cost estimation for complex building projects of a similar nature.

2. Risk and Internal Audit Officer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, ensure adherence to laws, regulations, company policies, and internal audit reports.
  • Prepare and conduct audit reports and documentation.
  • Design and implement internal control systems and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Assess operational systems, procedures, and financial policies to ensure effective monitoring and control.
  • Lead annual audit planning and conduct audits in line with internal standards.
  • Evaluate business processes for accuracy, efficiency, and quality, recommending enhancements.
  • Identify, assess, and manage organizational risks while maintaining up-to-date risk registers.
  • Prepare clear audit reports and communicate findings and best practices to senior management.

Key Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of internal auditing standards (IIA).
  • Sound understanding of risk management and internal control frameworks (COSO, ISO 31000).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High integrity, independence, and confidentiality.
  • Good report writing, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Excel, accounting software, and audit tools.
  • Able to work effectively with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Professional certification is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in internal audit, risk management, or external audit.
  • Experience in corporate, construction, or public sector auditing will be an added advantage.

3. Site Engineer (2 Posts)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise day-to-day construction activities to ensure compliance with structural and civil engineering standards.
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Monitor project timelines, budget adherence, and resource allocation.
  • Resolve on-site technical issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure adherence to design specifications and standards.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, drawings, and logs.

Key Skills:

  • Knowledge of construction methods, structural analysis, and materials science, with the ability to implement safety protocols to mitigate project risks.
  • Capability to address and resolve on-site issues promptly.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Ability to plan, execute, and oversee construction projects efficiently.
  • Attention to detail and proficiency in relevant software tools.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
  • Must be registered with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) as a Professional Engineer with a valid Practicing License.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a related role.
  • Proficiency in Civil Engineering software tools such as AutoCAD and project management software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

4. Land Surveyor

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct topographic, boundary, and as-built surveys using modern surveying equipment (e.g. Total Station, GPS, GNSS, RTK Machine).
  • Prepare and maintain accurate survey records, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys.
  • Interpret construction drawings and specifications to determine project layouts.
  • Set out construction works including roads, buildings, pipelines, and utilities.
  • Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
  • Collaborate with civil engineers, architects, technicians, and project/construction managers to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
  • Monitor and report any discrepancies between the actual layout and design plans.
  • Ensure compliance with legal standards and health and safety regulations during survey operations.
  • Use CAD and GIS software to produce detailed site plans and layouts.
  • Supervise and coordinate junior surveyors or survey crews as required.

Key Skills:

  • Proficiency in survey instruments and data collection technology.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in measurements.
  • Physical ability to work outdoors under varying conditions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Geomatics, Land Surveying, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in construction or land development projects.
  • Proven experience in using surveying equipment and software such as Total Station, RTK Machine, Dumpy Level Instrument, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GPS, and GIS.

5. Mechanical Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise mechanical installations including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and equipment systems.
  • Review and interpret mechanical drawings, designs, and specifications.
  • Monitor progress of mechanical works and ensure adherence to schedule, quality, and budget.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, electrical, and architectural personnel.
  • Conduct site inspections, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
  • Resolve technical issues and ensure compliance with codes and safety regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation including test reports, progress logs, and drawings.
  • Assist in the preparation of BOQs, cost estimates, and procurement specifications for mechanical works.
  • Ensure energy efficiency, sustainability, and environmental compliance in all mechanical designs.
  • Train and mentor junior engineers and technical staff on mechanical systems and safety practices.

Key Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems design and implementation.
  • Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office, and other CAD software.
  • Ability to lead and motivate individuals and manage contractors.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Knowledge of applicable mechanical codes, safety standards, and energy efficiency practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • Registered with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) as a Professional Engineer with a valid Practicing License.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in mechanical engineering within construction projects.
  • Proven experience with HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and mechanical equipment installation.
