JOB VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT – REVENUE COLLECTORS (180 POSITIONS)

The Executive Director of Ubungo Municipal Council wishes to announce 180 contract positions for Revenue Collectors. The recruitment aims to strengthen the Council's revenue collection system and improve revenue performance within the municipality.

1.2 Applicant Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be a Tanzanian citizen.
  • Must be between 18 and 25 years of age.
  • Must possess a valid birth certificate.
  • Must have completed at least Ordinary Level (Form Four) or Advanced Level (Form Six) education.
  • Must be willing to work in any area assigned within Ubungo Municipality.
  • Must be able to use a smartphone or other electronic revenue collection devices.

1.3 Duties and Responsibilities of a Revenue Collector

Successful applicants will be responsible for:

  • Collecting taxes, levies, and various fees in accordance with the laws, regulations, and procedures of the Council.
  • Issuing valid receipts for every payment received.
  • Maintaining accurate daily revenue collection records.
  • Preparing and submitting daily revenue collection reports.
  • Submitting collection reports to the supervisor on time.
  • Performing any other duties assigned by the employer.

1.4 Allowance and Benefits

Successful applicants employed as Revenue Collectors will receive a monthly allowance of TSh 250,000.

1.5 General Application Requirements

Applicants must attach the following documents:

  • A handwritten or typed application letter.
  • A detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV).
  • Certified copies of academic and professional certificates.
  • A copy of the National Identification Card (NIDA), NIDA Number, Voter's ID, or any other recognized identification document.
  • Two (2) recent passport-size colored photographs.
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be notified and invited for an interview.
  • Forged certificates will not be accepted, and legal action will be taken against anyone found submitting fraudulent documents.
  • Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
  • The deadline for submitting applications is 14 August 2026.
  • All applications must be sent by post only. Applications submitted by hand will not be accepted.
