Kilimanjaro Plantation Ltd is a company engaged in the agricultural sector, located in Kilimanjaro Region, Tanzania. As we continue to expand our operations and ensure the efficiency of our activities, we are looking for qualified and hardworking individuals for the following positions:

1. CARPENTER (1 POSITION)

Employer: Kilimanjaro Plantation Ltd, Kibosho-Mweka, Kilimanjaro Region
Employment Type: Youth Employment
Reports to: Farm Manager

Key Requirements

  • Experience in construction of wooden structures for storage and housing.
  • Proper use of carpentry tools.
  • Ability to work with hand tools.
  • Proper care and maintenance of woodworking machines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret carpentry drawings, plans, and work instructions.
  • Measure, cut, shape, join, and assemble wood, plywood, and other materials accurately.
  • Construct, repair, and install wooden structures such as doors, windows, cabinets, fences, partitions, and furniture.
  • Operate and maintain carpentry machinery and tools safely.
  • Perform other assigned duties to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with established standards.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Relevant certificate or vocational training in carpentry, woodworking, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • At least 2 years of experience in carpentry or joinery/construction work.
  • Ability to perform carpentry work using both hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read drawings and complete work without close supervision.
  • Knowledge of carpentry materials and workplace safety procedures.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

2. SECURITY GUARDS (10 POSITIONS)

Employer: Kilimanjaro Plantation Ltd, Kibosho-Mweka, Kilimanjaro Region
Employment Type: Youth Employment
Reports to: Security Officer

Key Responsibilities

  • Protect company property, employees, and visitors against theft, damage, or unauthorized entry.
  • Maintain a safe environment by monitoring entry and exit points.
  • Monitor the presence of people and vehicles at designated areas.
  • Prevent theft, damage, and other security incidents.
  • Assist in enforcing company security policies, safety regulations, and procedures.

Key Duties

  • Control entry and exit of people and vehicles.
  • Conduct regular patrols to ensure security.
  • Prevent theft, damage, and unauthorized activities.
  • Report incidents and security concerns to supervisors.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Valid certificate or training in security from a recognized institution.
  • Previous experience in security work is an added advantage.
  • Physically fit and able to perform patrol and security duties.
  • Good record of conduct and discipline.

3. TRACTOR DRIVER (4 POSITIONS)

Employer: Kilimanjaro Plantation Ltd, Kibosho-Mweka, Kilimanjaro Region
Employment Type: Youth Employment
Reports to: Farm Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and drive tractors and agricultural machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with agricultural activities including planting, cultivation, ploughing, harvesting, and transportation.
  • Ensure that machinery is clean, safe, and in good working condition.
  • Contribute to improving farm productivity by assisting with mechanized agricultural activities.

Key Duties

  • Operate tractors for ploughing, harrowing, planting, and transportation of crops or materials.
  • Carry out regular inspections and basic maintenance of tractors and related equipment.
  • Report mechanical problems and breakdowns to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate records of tractor operations, fuel consumption, and farm activities.
  • Comply with company safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist with other farm activities when required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Valid driving licence, preferably with the appropriate class for operating agricultural machinery.
  • Experience in operating tractors or agricultural machinery.
  • Physically fit and able to work for extended periods on a farm.
  • Good work record and ability to follow work instructions.

4. MECHANIC (2 POSITIONS)

Employer: Kilimanjaro Plantation Ltd, Kibosho-Mweka, Kilimanjaro Region
Employment Type: Youth Employment
Reports to: Farm Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and ensure that company vehicles, machinery, and equipment operate safely and efficiently.
  • Carry out regular inspections to identify and correct mechanical faults.
  • Assist in improving the company's operations by ensuring equipment has minimal downtime.
  • Provide technical advice regarding proper maintenance and servicing of machinery.

Key Duties

  • Carry out inspections and repairs of vehicles, machines, and equipment to prevent breakdowns.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs, including replacement and adjustment of faulty parts.
  • Prepare maintenance and repair reports for supervisors.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained properly and safely.
  • Carry out work in accordance with company safety standards and procedures.
  • Work together with other employees in repairing and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Valid driving licence, if applicable, with a certificate in Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Trade.
  • Knowledge of identifying and repairing mechanical faults effectively.
  • Ability to use tools and equipment safely.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and machine instructions.
  • Integrity, reliability, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Good understanding of workplace safety and use of personal protective equipment.

5. WELDER (1 POSITION)

Employer: Kilimanjaro Plantation Ltd, Kibosho-Mweka, Kilimanjaro Region

Reports to: Farm Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and ensure that company vehicles and machinery operate safely and efficiently.
  • Carry out regular inspections to identify and repair welding-related faults.
  • Reduce equipment downtime through proper welding and fabrication work.
  • Provide technical advice regarding maintenance and proper use of machinery.

Key Duties

  • Inspect and repair welding-related faults on equipment.
  • Carry out maintenance and repairs, including replacement and welding of damaged metal parts.
  • Prepare maintenance and repair reports for supervisors.
  • Ensure equipment is properly maintained and safely used.
  • Work in accordance with company safety standards and procedures.
  • Cooperate with other employees in carrying out maintenance and repair work.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Valid driving licence, if applicable, with a certificate in Welding/Metalwork.
  • Ability to identify and repair welding and metalwork faults effectively.
  • Ability to use welding tools and equipment safely.
  • Ability to read and interpret workshop drawings and machine instructions.
  • Integrity, reliability, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Good understanding of workplace safety and use of personal protective equipment.

6. ELECTRICIAN (1 POSITION)

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure that electrical equipment and installations operate properly within company facilities.
  • Reduce electrical hazards by following safety standards and procedures.
  • Provide technical advice regarding maintenance and proper use of electrical systems.

Key Duties

  • Install electrical wiring, switches, sockets, and electrical equipment.
  • Carry out regular inspections to identify electrical faults and hazards.
  • Repair and maintain electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.
  • Prepare maintenance and repair reports for supervisors.
  • Carry out maintenance work and ensure compliance with company safety standards.
  • Cooperate with other employees in carrying out maintenance and repair activities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Certificate in Electrical Installation/Trade from a recognized institution.
  • Ability to identify and repair electrical faults effectively.
  • Ability to use electrical tools and equipment safely.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and machine instructions.
  • Integrity, reliability, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Good understanding of workplace safety and use of personal protective equipment.
