VACANCIES: DIRECT SALES AGENTS
1.0 BACKGROUND
The National Insurance Corporation of Tanzania (NIC) is the leading Insurance Company in Tanzania established under Companies Ordinance Act, CAP 212, to transact insurance business of all forms and to re-insure or co-insure.
The Corporation invites dynamic, proactive, experienced, and suitably qualified Tanzanians to apply for fifty-two (52) vacant Direct Sales Agent positions across the Corporation's offices in Mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar.
Applications are invited to fill two (2) Direct Sales Agent positions in each of the following offices:

2.0 JOB SUMMARY
To participate in promotion and sales of NIC General and Life Insurance products through proactive sales techniques while simultaneously delivering excellent customer service.
3.0 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
a) Identifying potential clients through networking, marketing campaigns and direct outreach;
b) Participating in sales activations and campaigns to meet specific targets;
c) Maintaining strong relationships with clients to ensure retention, renewals, and cross-selling or up-selling opportunities;
d) Promoting both Life and General Insurance products;
e) Achieving assigned sales targets, maintaining strong customer relationships, and providing regular sales reports; and
f) Working towards individual and team sales targets in line with the company’s strategic objectives and premium goals.
4.0 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS – THIRTY-SEVEN (37) POSITIONS
Applicants must possess a minimum of Ordinary Level Secondary Education (O-Level) / Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) / Advanced Level Secondary Education (A-Level) / Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE), Certificate, Diploma, or Advanced Diploma from a recognized institution in any of the following fields:
- Business Administration
- Marketing
- Insurance
- Actuarial Science
- Risk Management
- Sales and Marketing
- Other related fields
Experience in sales and marketing of insurance products will be an added advantage.
5.0 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS – FIFTEEN (15) POSITIONS
Applicants must possess a minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields from a recognized institution:
- Business Administration
- Marketing
- Insurance
- Actuarial Science
- Risk Management
- Sales and Marketing
- Other related fields
Experience in sales and marketing of insurance products will be an added advantage.
