VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Office of the Manager of Ellen White School – Dodoma, wishes to announce job vacancies (4) for various cadres to strengthen its performance. All qualified and capable Tanzanians are invited to submit their applications to fill the job positions as outlined below:
1.0 ACCOUNTANT – FIRST GRADE I A – 2 POSITIONS
1.1 Duties and Responsibilities
(i) Receive and record students' contributions and school fees.
(ii) Control expenditures, pay service providers' invoices, and oversee minor school procurements.
(iii) Prepare revenue and expenditure estimates in collaboration with the Head Teacher.
(iv) Maintain cash books and all bank documents accurately.
(v) Prepare monthly financial reports and submit them to the Head Teacher for endorsement and to the School Manager.
(vi) Supervise and prepare timely salary payments for teachers and non-teaching staff.
1.2 Qualifications of the Applicant
The successful candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Must be proficient in computer use and software such as Tally, QuickBooks, and other systems. Must possess good morals and a clean record in financial management and operations. Additionally, applicants with at least three (3) years of experience in the accounting field will be given priority.
1.3 Salary Scale
EWSS-A STARTING AT TZS 800,000.
2.0 CIVIL/STRUCTURAL ENGINEER – GRADE IA – 2 POSITIONS
2.1 Duties and Responsibilities
(i) Supervise and inspect roads, bridges, and various buildings.
(ii) Monitor the implementation of laws and regulations for road and building construction.
(iii) Prepare budgets for each construction and maintenance project for roads, bridges, and buildings undertaken by the company.
(iv) Supervise and coordinate road/bridge and building works provided by the Government.
(v) Prepare quarterly and annual project implementation reports.
2.2 Qualifications of the Applicant
(i) The successful candidate must hold a Bachelor's Degree or Higher Diploma in Structural Engineering from a Government-recognized university.
(ii) The successful candidate must hold a Bachelor's Degree or Higher Diploma in Civil Engineering from a Government-recognized university.
(iii) Must have at least three (3) years of experience in the road engineering field.
2.3 Salary Scale
EWSS-A STARTING AT TZS 800,000.
3.0 GENERAL CONDITIONS
(i) All applicants must submit handwritten application letters in English. Applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 and 50 years.
(ii) All applicants must attach a detailed Curriculum Vitae with a valid address, reachable phone numbers, an e-mail address, and the names of three trustworthy referees.
(iii) All applicants must attach certified copies of academic certificates relevant to the respective position, along with a copy of their NIDA identification.
(iv) Applicants who studied outside Tanzania must ensure their certificates have been verified and confirmed by the relevant authorities (TCU, NECTA, and NACTE).
(v) One recent colour passport-size photograph.
