Position: Draughtsman
Department: FACTORY

JOB SUMMARY STATEMENT
Re-advertised: To produce accurate and detailed technical drawings by translating engineering designs, specifications, and instructions into clear and precise drafting documentation. To ensure all drawings comply with applicable standards, codes, and project requirements.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES)
- Interpret design concepts, technical specifications, and engineering instructions to develop detailed drawings.
- Create, update, and revise 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software in line with project requirements.
- Utilize drafting tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SolidWorks to prepare and modify technical drawings.
- Take field measurements and collect relevant site data to support accurate drawing preparation and fabrication.
- Review and analyze existing drawings to identify gaps, missing details, outdated versions, and inconsistencies with actual site conditions (as-built).
- Prepare reports on identified discrepancies and support coordination of corrective updates with engineers and designers.
- Maintain proper documentation by organizing, filing, and updating drawings, revisions, and related records for easy retrieval.
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of mechanical equipment and their functions within operational processes.
- Ensure compliance of all drawings with industry standards, safety requirements, and company procedures.
- Perform any other related duties as may be assigned by his or her Superior.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from a recognized institution. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in drafting or a similar technical role.
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Experience in interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SolidWorks.
- Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.
- Experience in field data collection and as-built documentation is an added advantage.
