POSITION: AUDIT INTERNS

Every intern who joins us will have the opportunity to work and gain experience to develop their career. Many of our people have long and successful careers at DFC which will be beneficial to our interns. As interns, we expect them to use the skills, experience and knowledge they gain here in excelling at DFC in the future. Whatever direction their career goes, their time here at DFC will be good for building their profile.
WHO DO WE NEED?
- Recent college graduates or final-year undergraduates with an accounting background
- Should be able to work with minimum supervision and guidance
- Good communication, interpersonal, analytical and numeracy skills
- Be able to use computer packages such as Excel and Word
- Aged from 18 to 23
WHAT WILL YOU DO AT DFC?
- Carry out audit assignments as assigned from time to time.
- Document the results of audit work in accordance with principles of Audit Methodology, regulatory requirements, and the firm's standards.
- Assist in performing audits of various sections of the income statement such as sales, cost of sales, operating expenses, salaries and wages.
- Assist in performing audits of certain areas within balance sheet sections such as additions in fixed assets, debtors' circularization, stock counts, bank and cash.
- Ensure that basic DFC techniques are applied accurately and consistently in all areas of work delegated.
- Participate in audit meetings, reviews and discussions.
- Interact with audit clients to collect all the necessary information and then prepare and maintain audit files.
