- ANALYST; CARD FINANCE – 1 POSITION
Job Location: Head Office
Job Purpose: Responsible for facilitating card business operations, financial reporting, performance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and business insights to support strategic decision-making and sustainable profitability of the card business.
Main Responsibilities:
- Analyze card revenues, network fees, interchange income, and card-related expenses to support profitability management.
- Assess profitability across various products, customer segments, and business lines.
- Support the preparation and evaluation of business cases for new card products and enhancements to existing products.
- Identify and recommend cost-saving initiatives across card business operations.
- Monitor internal accounts to track targeted card income and identify abnormal losses or expenses.
- Ensure proper controls are maintained to safeguard the Bank against revenue leakage and operational losses.
- Extract, validate, analyze, and interpret card business data to support decision-making.
- Perform data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, risks, and business opportunities.
- Develop meaningful insights and recommendations through analysis of card portfolio performance.
- Review invoices received from vendors and card schemes relating to card business operations and initiate payment processing.
- Validate scheme fees, charges, and invoices.
- Prepare reports.
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate financial and operational information.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of banking operations, card schemes, card products lifecycle, and financial analysis.
- Familiarity with banking systems, card management systems, and databases.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements applicable to card and payment businesses.
- Good knowledge of card business operations, including debit, credit, prepaid, and virtual card products.
- Understanding of card transaction lifecycles, settlement processes, chargebacks, disputes, and card scheme operations.
- Advanced use of PowerPoint, Excel, SQL, and reconciliation tools.
- Strong data analysis and data interpretation skills.
- Ability to extract, manipulate, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources.
- Ability to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and business opportunities through data analytics.
- Strong report writing and presentation skills.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking, Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, or related fields.
- CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years' banking experience, preferably in Card Business, Finance, Reconciliation, or Financial Analysis.
- Experience using SQL for data extraction, reporting, reconciliation, and analysis is preferred.

- RELATIONSHIP MANAGER; PARASTATALS – 1 POSITION
Job Location: Head Office, HQ
Job Purpose: To manage and grow the Salaried Workers Loan (SWL) portfolio within parastatal institutions by acquiring new schemes, deepening penetration in existing schemes, and ensuring portfolio quality. Oversee, guide, and work closely with Direct Sales Staff (DSS) to execute SWL sales campaigns, ensuring maximum penetration and compliance, while delivering excellent customer and employer experience.
Main Responsibilities:
- Identify, negotiate, and onboard new parastatal schemes in line with the Bank's SWL growth agenda.
- Deepen penetration in existing parastatal schemes through regular engagement with Human Resources and Payroll officers.
- Conduct structured employer visits, presentations, and financial literacy sessions to promote SWL awareness.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with parastatal decision makers to ensure sustainable partnerships.
- Prepare and implement a scheme penetration plan with measurable milestones for each parastatal.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and daily support to DSS to achieve SWL acquisition and disbursement targets.
- Monitor DSS productivity, including applications, disbursements, and conversion rates, and take corrective action where needed.
- Conduct joint field visits with DSS to employers, ensuring product promotion and onboarding are effectively executed.
- Ensure DSS adhere to compliance standards, ethical sales practices, and accuracy in documentation.
- Monitor the SWL loan portfolio across parastatal schemes, ensuring growth with quality and minimal NPLs.
- Follow up with employers on timely payroll deductions, reconciliations, and arrears management.
- Identify and escalate risks related to scheme performance and take proactive measures to prevent defaults.
- Prepare accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports covering parastatal performance and DSS output.
- Conduct competitor analysis, capture customer and employer feedback, and recommend improvements for product, process, and market positioning.

- SENIOR MANAGER; CREDIT ASSESSMENT – 1 POSITION
Job Location: Head Office
Job Purpose: Responsible for leading the Wholesale Credit Assessment team through competent management, assessment, administration, inspection, monitoring, and reporting on the credit risk of the Bank. This ensures the sustainably profitable position of the Bank by originating and maintaining a Wholesale Credit portfolio which contributes to the Bank's strategy.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage Wholesale Credit personnel to assess business and financial risks in credit applications through reviews and approvals/rejections of credit applications.
- Lead, drive the performance of, and actively manage the team charged with credit assessment and approvals for Wholesale Borrowers.
- Ensure the highest standards of credit quality through assessment, sampling, and application of best practices to credit proposals.
- Advise the Head of Wholesale Credit on any known potential or actual shift in the risk profile of a borrower or sector and provide mitigation or remedial action.
- Undertake analysis and manage credit analysis requirements for counterpart risk and issuer risk involving individuals, sovereigns, financial institutions, corporates, non-bank financial institutions, and sovereign entities.
- Participate in Credit Committees, Watchlist Forums and Committees, IFRS 9, and Board Credit Committee meetings as required.
- Engage with front-office teams to identify and mitigate credit risks at the earliest stages.
- Work closely with the Head of Wholesale Credit, Head of Wholesale Client Origination, and Wholesale Business Unit Heads to streamline operational functions and recommend beneficial operational changes.
- Identify areas of improvement in products, processes, and services and recommend appropriate solutions to minimize risks.
- Manage information flow in both directions, upwards and downwards.
- Build, develop, and lead winning teams through guidance, training, and empowerment.

- Develop credit risk measurement methodologies.
- Ensure full compliance and monitor implementation of consumer protection requirements across the business area/unit.
- Lead the Bank's credit audit assignments relating to the wholesale portfolio from the Bank of Tanzania and external auditors.
- Manage credit risk-related policies and procedures, as well as staffing and development of the function.
- Develop internal assessment models for quantification of product-related credit risks and ensure communication of key risk registers.
- Engage with MI and Credit Reporting on data clean-up for CRB, BoT, internal and external audit findings, and related action items.
- Engage in initiatives for proactive understanding and management of IFRS 9 impairments, including PAR, NPL, and ECL.
- Work closely with SAM Department to develop and disseminate lessons learned for focused communication and proactive strategies to improve portfolio quality.
- Engage in system developments to ensure credit functionalities are fully understood, tested, and embedded in the Bank's offerings.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Special asset management, business law, wholesale and retail credit analysis.
- Technical understanding of structured transactions and syndications.
- Leadership of change, adaptability, coaching, delegation, and employee performance management.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Banking, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Law, Economics, or related fields.
- Master's Degree in business studies is an added advantage.
- Postgraduate education in Banking and/or banking certification(s) is an added advantage.
- At least 5 years' experience in Credit Management, preferably in wholesale or large corporates, with leadership experience in medium to large organizations.

- SPECIALIST; ASSET CONTROL AND STORES – 1 POSITION
Job Location: Head Office, HQ
Job Purpose: To manage the Bank's fixed asset lifecycle by ensuring assets are properly acquired, registered, tagged, tracked, verified, maintained, transferred, and disposed of in accordance with Bank policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements while maintaining an accurate Fixed Asset Register (FAR).
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage the complete fixed asset lifecycle, including acquisition, registration, tagging, tracking, custody, transfer, maintenance, physical verification, and disposal.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date Fixed Asset Register (FAR), including asset classification, location, custodian, cost centre, warranty information, and asset status.
- Coordinate the Bank's asset identification and tagging programme.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor periodic and risk-based physical asset verification exercises.
- Monitor and control asset movements, including transfers, relocations, assignments, and disposals.
- Ensure all asset movements are properly authorized, accurately recorded in the ERP system, and supported by complete documentation.
- Monitor asset condition, age, utilization, maintenance costs, and warranty status.
- Recommend repair, replacement, refurbishment, redeployment, or disposal based on lifecycle analysis and operational requirements.
- Ensure compliance with fixed asset policies, regulatory requirements, internal control procedures, and audit recommendations.
- Support continuous improvement of the ERP Fixed Asset Module.
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and SOPs.
- Prepare operational asset management reports, including asset ageing, warranty status, maintenance trends, utilization, disposal recommendations, and asset replacement forecasts.
- Collaborate with Procurement, ICT, Facilities Management, Branches, Internal Audit, and other stakeholders to strengthen asset governance.
- Provide technical guidance, enhance staff awareness, and drive continuous improvement in asset management practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve asset management processes and optimize asset utilization.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Fixed Asset Lifecycle Management principles and best practices.
- Sound knowledge of Fixed Asset Lifecycle Management, inventory management, and asset governance.
- Proficiency in ERP Fixed Asset Management systems, such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
- Knowledge of asset tagging technologies, including barcode and RFID systems.
- Experience in physical asset verification, reconciliation, and audit support.
- Strong analytical, reporting, problem-solving, and data management skills.
- Good understanding of risk management, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, planning, and organizational skills.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Approved/Registered by PSPTB.
- Banking certification(s) is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in fixed asset management, inventory management, and finance operations.
