VACANCY FOR A RADIOGRAPHER
Kitengule Hospital is inviting applications from qualified, competent, and experienced candidates to fill the position of Radiographer.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Radiographer will primarily be responsible for operating X-ray equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images, as well as operating imaging equipment and ultrasound machines to form images that aid in the diagnosis of various patient conditions.
REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography.
- Minimum of at least one year of professional experience in Radiology works.
- Certificate of registration to administer ionizing radiation to persons (Tanzania Atomic Energy Commission certification).
- Proven knowledge in operating CT-Scan and MRI will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of medical procedures and medicine.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
- Be flexible, able to work well under pressure, and able to manage stress.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performing diagnostic imaging to obtain clear, usable images.
- Prioritizing patients to complete all scheduled appointments and allow for emergency procedures.
- Monitoring radiographic equipment and ultrasound machines, ensuring they are usable and reliable.
- Preparing examination rooms for patient examinations.
- Producing diagnostic images, reporting important information to the Physician, and updating patients' records.
- Monitoring patients during examinations, ensuring their safety, and following procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation.
- Performing administrative tasks, such as answering technical questions, scheduling appointments, and offering pre-procedure advice.
- Maintaining excellent attention to detail and performing well under pressure.
- Performing any other duties as assigned.
