POSITION: HEAD OF PEOPLE & CULTURE

WWF Tanzania is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to join our team as the Head of People & Culture. This is a pivotal role for an experienced HR professional who is passionate about driving organizational culture, talent development, and employee engagement in a mission-driven environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the development and implementation of HR strategies that align with WWF Tanzania's vision and goals.
  • Oversee all aspects of talent acquisition, retention, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance workplace culture.
  • Drive learning and development initiatives to build capacity across the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and best practices in people management.
  • Provide strategic guidance to leadership on people-related matters.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven experience in organizational development, change management, and culture transformation.
  • Strong knowledge of Tanzanian labor laws and regulations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in the non-profit or conservation sector is highly desirable.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) is an added advantage.
