- RELATIONSHIP MANAGER – BUSINESS
Basic Purpose: Provide a supervisory role to staff members working under the Branch Business Development Unit. The Relationship Manager – Business is responsible for coordinating activities of the unit by leading the team on sales and business development to ensure growth of the customer base, CASA and term deposits, high-quality loans, improvement of loan portfolio, growth of non-funded income (NFI), cross-selling of bank products and maintaining good relationships with clients in line with KPIs.
Main Duties and Responsibilities: • Identify and negotiate business opportunities that will grow branch business in line with annual business targets and Bank strategy. • Provide timely reports, recommendations and feedback to immediate supervisors and top management on business developments and progress. • Liaise and coordinate activities with the Commercial Department and other stakeholders at Head Office. • Advise the Branch General/Business Development Manager on branch matters concerning business growth and people management. • Participate in preparation of the branch budget and Annual Plan. • Carry out any other related duties as may be assigned by the Branch General/Business Development Manager. • Collect and prepare market intelligence information on corporate and retail products and services to ensure business growth. • Develop and maintain strong client relationships and support portfolio growth.
Qualifications and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related field. • At least 3 years’ experience in banking and familiarity with business development channels. • Proven track record in portfolio management, business development and client acquisition. • Strong understanding of banking regulations, compliance standards and risk management. • Familiarity with KYC, AML and credit policies. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. • Professional certifications such as Certified Financial Planner or Credit Analyst are an added advantage. • Formal credit training is highly valued. • Willingness to travel extensively and work long hours where required.
- MANAGER – MERCHANT ACQUIRING
Job Purpose: Responsible for the growth and profitability of merchant businesses through acquisition of merchants.
Duties and Responsibilities: • Responsible for the growth and profitability of merchant businesses through acquisition of merchants. • Prepare business strategies aimed at growing the unit in alignment with performance metrics. • Ensure a total value proposition to clients through cross-promotion of additional Bank products. • Ensure client retention through proper portfolio management and strengthening client relationships. • Monitor and review financial reports, targets, portfolio trends and performance. • Maintain corporate customer relationships to ensure continual growth of sales targets. • Recruit corporate customers to Host-to-Host solutions to support seamless solutions and grow the digital banking business. • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders including EXCO, Heads, Senior Managers, Branch Merchant Supervisors, Digital Channels, Product, Customer Service & Operations, Integration teams, clients and vendors. • Ensure compliance with Bank policies and procedures. • Ensure the Bank’s corporate image is promoted. • Support branches and supervisors through regular assessments and engagements. • Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Qualifications: • University degree or equivalent qualification in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Statistics or Research.

- RM AGRIBUSINESS CASH CROPS SPECIALIST
Role Purpose: The RM Agribusiness Cash Crops Specialist will be responsible for developing, managing and growing Equity Bank Tanzania’s agribusiness portfolio within selected cash crop value chains.
The role will provide specialized relationship management and technical support to farmers, farmer organizations, cooperatives, aggregators, processors, off-takers, input suppliers and other value-chain actors, with particular focus on commercially viable cash crops.
The role holder will identify and develop high-quality agricultural financing opportunities, build sustainable agribusiness pipelines, support customer acquisition and retention, and facilitate access to appropriate banking and non-financial solutions.
The position will work closely with agricultural stakeholders to strengthen value-chain linkages, improve productivity and market access, and grow loans, deposits, transaction banking and other financial products while maintaining strong portfolio quality.
Experience Requirements: • Minimum 3–7 years of relevant experience in cash-crop financing, agribusiness, agricultural finance, commercial banking, value-chain development, relationship management or a related field. • Strong understanding of agronomic principles and commercial agricultural production. • Demonstrated expertise in agribusiness management, agricultural markets, value-chain development and financial services. • Demonstrated ability to support farmers and Ag-MSMEs to develop bankable business models and access appropriate financial services. • Strong commercial orientation and commitment to expanding financial inclusion through sustainable agriculture. • Highly motivated, results-oriented, innovative and customer-focused professional.

- RM AGRIBUSINESS FISHING & AQUACULTURE SPECIALIST
Role Purpose: The RM Agribusiness Fishing & Aquaculture Specialist will be responsible for developing, managing and growing Equity Bank Tanzania’s commercial portfolio within the fisheries, cage fishing, aquaculture and associated aquatic value chains.
The role will provide specialized relationship management and technical support to fish farmers, cage-farming enterprises, hatcheries, feed suppliers, fish aggregators, processors, traders, cold-chain operators, equipment suppliers, cooperatives, off-takers and other fisheries and aquaculture value-chain actors.
The role holder will identify, originate, structure and manage quality financing opportunities across the aquaculture and fisheries ecosystem while growing loans, deposits, transaction banking and other financial products.
The role will support customers to improve production efficiency, productivity, profitability, market access and financial sustainability.
Key Responsibilities: • Develop and manage strategic relationships with fish farmers, cage-farming enterprises, hatcheries, fishing enterprises, cooperatives, aggregators, processors, traders, feed suppliers, equipment providers and off-takers. • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of quality aquaculture, fisheries and related agribusiness customers. • Conduct customer visits, farm/site visits, cage-farm assessments, business reviews and value-chain assessments. • Understand customers’ production models, operating cycles, cash flows, financing needs, market arrangements and growth opportunities. • Develop and implement customer acquisition, retention and portfolio-deepening strategies. • Identify opportunities to cross-sell loans, deposits, insurance, payments, digital banking and other relevant financial solutions. • Develop strong technical and commercial knowledge of cage aquaculture and fisheries value chains. • Identify commercially viable financing opportunities, value-chain gaps, risks and opportunities. • Facilitate linkages between fish farmers, suppliers, processors, markets and financial service providers. • Support structured aquaculture financing models based on production cycles, stocking, feed requirements, growth periods, harvesting schedules and market arrangements. • Identify opportunities for financing cage construction, fish-farming equipment, boats, cold storage, transport, processing, feed, fingerlings, working capital and other productive assets. • Maintain accurate customer, pipeline, portfolio and value-chain information. • Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly reports covering commercial performance, pipeline development, portfolio quality, customer activities, risks and opportunities.
Experience Requirements: • Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience in aquaculture, fisheries, agribusiness, agricultural finance, commercial banking, value-chain development, relationship management or a related field. • At least 3–5 years of experience managing aquaculture/fisheries customers, portfolios, value chains or fisheries and aquaculture development programmes. • Demonstrated experience in originating and managing agricultural, fisheries, aquaculture or agribusiness loans and/or portfolios. • Practical experience working with fish farmers, cage-farming enterprises, fisher groups, hatcheries, processors, aggregators, feed companies, off-takers or aquaculture MSMEs. • Proven practical experience in aquaculture production, cage farming, fisheries, fish aggregation, processing, marketing or value-chain development. • Demonstrated experience in assessing aquaculture and fisheries enterprises, preparing business/credit proposals and evaluating repayment capacity. • Experience facilitating access to finance and markets for fish farmers and fisheries/aquaculture MSMEs.

- RM AGRIBUSINESS LIVESTOCK SPECIALIST
Role Purpose: The RM Agribusiness Livestock Specialist will be responsible for developing, managing and growing Equity Bank Tanzania’s livestock and livestock-related agribusiness portfolio.
The role will provide specialized management and technical support to livestock farmers, farmer groups, cooperatives, dairy groups, ranchers, pastoralist organizations, aggregators, processors, abattoirs, feed manufacturers, input suppliers, livestock traders, off-takers and other actors across the livestock value chain.
The role holder will identify and develop quality livestock financing opportunities, build a sustainable pipeline of agricultural customers, deepen existing relationships and facilitate access to appropriate financial products including working capital, asset finance, agricultural loans, trade finance, deposits, transaction banking and digital financial services.
Experience Requirements: • At least 3–5 years of experience managing livestock/agricultural customers, portfolios, value chains or livestock development programmes. • Demonstrated experience in originating and managing agricultural or livestock loans and/or agribusiness portfolios. • Practical experience working with livestock farmers, pastoralists, cooperatives, aggregators, processors, abattoirs, feed companies, off-takers or livestock MSMEs. • Proven experience in livestock production, aggregation, processing, marketing or value-chain development. • Demonstrated experience in assessing livestock enterprises, preparing business/credit proposals and evaluating repayment capacity. • Experience facilitating access to finance and markets for livestock farmers and agribusinesses. • Experience managing livestock-sector risks including animal disease, climate, market, commodity price, production and repayment risks. • Experience working with government institutions, development partners, financial institutions and private-sector livestock stakeholders is an advantage. • Experience in climate-smart and sustainable livestock production systems is an added advantage. • Experience in structured agricultural finance, blended finance, guarantees or risk-sharing facilities is an advantage. • Demonstrated track record of achieving commercial targets and building sustainable customer relationships.

- RELATIONSHIP OFFICER – BUSINESS
Basic Purpose: Support the branch business growth agenda by driving acquisition, onboarding and retention of micro and consumer business customers.
The role focuses on delivering quality lending, growing CASA and transactional accounts, cross-selling bank products, growing non-funded income (NFI) and maintaining strong client relationships.
The Relationship Officer will execute field-level sales activities, ensure quality credit applications and provide excellent customer service in line with KPIs while escalating complex matters to the Relationship Manager – Business.
Main Duties and Responsibilities: • Identify, prospect and onboard micro and consumer business customers. • Grow CASA deposits and ensure active account usage. • Support customer activation and product utilization. • Build and maintain strong customer relationships. • Resolve customer inquiries and escalate complex issues to the Relationship Manager. • Monitor the assigned loan portfolio. • Identify and flag early-warning signals to the Relationship Manager. • Follow up on repayments to maintain a healthy loan book and reduce PAR, including PAR30 and PAR90. • Reduce dormant accounts through regular customer engagement. • Ensure compliance with KYC, AML and all Bank policies. • Maintain accurate and complete customer files, documents and reports. • Collaborate with branch teams on cross-functional business activities. • Perform other duties assigned by the Relationship Manager or Branch Management.
Qualifications and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or a related field. • Proven track record of achieving deposit-growth targets.
