ANNOUNCEMENT OF TEACHING VACANCIES
SCIM POLYTECH Secondary School, owned by the Catholic Diocese of Iringa, is committed to providing quality education with a strong moral and spiritual foundation. In line with its mission, the school invites applications from qualified Tanzanians to fill three (03) teaching vacancies in the following subjects:
- Geography and Economics [01 Position]
- Computer Science [01 Position]
- Bible Knowledge [01 Position]
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a Tanzanian citizen.
- Must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Education with a specialization in the advertised subject, recognized by the Government.
- Must be a person of integrity, hardworking, and committed to professional excellence.
- Must have at least two (2) years of teaching experience.
- Experience in working with Church organizations will be an added advantage.
- Must be ready to report to school as soon as required for an interview and placement.
POSITION DETAILS
1. Teacher – Geography and Economics (01 Position)
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Teach Geography and Economics at both O-Level and A-Level.
- Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, and teaching materials effectively.
- Mentor and guide students in academic and career development.
- Conduct assessments, examinations, and provide constructive feedback.
- Participate in school development programs and extra-curricular activities.
- Uphold Catholic values and contribute to the spiritual growth of students.
2. Teacher – Computer Science (01 Position)
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Teach Computer Science/ICT across different levels of secondary education.
- Prepare practical and theoretical lessons in line with the syllabus.
- Manage and maintain the computer laboratory and related resources.
- Train students in modern digital skills and innovation.
- Provide technical support in ICT for school operations when required.
- Guide students in competitions, clubs, and ICT-related projects.
3. Teacher – Bible Knowledge (01 Position)
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Teach Bible Knowledge and Religious Education.
- Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, and spiritual teaching aids.
- Mentor students in moral formation and personal discipline.
- Lead and support spiritual programs such as prayers, retreats, and faith-based clubs.
- Collaborate with the Church and school management in pastoral activities.
- Serve as a role model of Christian values and witness to students.
