Guided by our core values and belief in the power of large companies to positively impact the world, we are now seeking to recruit a qualified Electrical Engineer.
Position: Electrical Engineer
Location: Mkuranga Plant, Tanzania
Reports to: Maintenance Manager
Key Responsibilities

Ensure the effective operation of electrical systems including medium & low voltage switchgears, generators, transformers, motors, burners, inverters, PLCs, instrumentation, and automation control systems, adhering to all safety standards.

Develop and implement a Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedule for electrical systems to minimize downtime and maintain optimal efficiency.

Conduct regular inspections, testing, and maintenance of electrical equipment to ensure performance and safety compliance.

Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults promptly to reduce plant downtime.

Collaborate with mechanical and production teams to design and implement innovative engineering solutions.

Participate in planning and executing new installations and upgrades to existing systems.

Manage electrical spare parts inventory using the SAP system to prevent shortages and unplanned shutdowns.

Maintain manufacturing processes according to Knauf standards.

Ensure compliance with company safety guidelines and procedures.

Prepare monthly performance and maintenance reports, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations.

Conduct regular training sessions to enhance team performance and technical competence.
Qualifications and Experience
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, automation, and control technologies.

Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD).

Good understanding of industry standards, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork abilities.
