Position 1: Driver (3 Vacancies)
Location: Dar es Salaam
Contract Duration: 3 Months (Short-Term Contract)
Direct Reports: Logistics Supervisor
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safe and efficient transport of goods and passengers in compliance with MSF security rules and traffic regulations.
- Perform daily vehicle checks (tires, oil, brakes, etc.) and maintain cleanliness.
- Verify all necessary documents for passengers and goods before travel.
- Report incidents promptly to the line manager and adhere to radio communication protocols.
- Respect security rules at checkpoints and ensure passenger awareness.
Requirements:
- Education: Literacy and valid Class D driving license.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of driving experience; 4x4 and NGO experience desirable.
- Languages: Fluency in English and Swahili (oral & written).
- Skills: Flexibility, stress management, teamwork, and basic mechanical knowledge preferred.
Position 2: Radio Operator (1 Vacancy)
Location: Dar es Salaam
Contract Duration: 3 Months (Short-Term Contract)
Direct Reports: Logistics Supervisor
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate HF/VHF radios following MSF security protocols to ensure confidential communication.
- Monitor and log movements of staff/vehicles, report delays, and manage equipment maintenance.
- Provide basic radio training to staff and coordinate with drivers for dispatch logistics.
- Handle mobile communications and ensure proper sign-out/in of radio equipment.
Requirements:
- Education: Literacy; secondary education desirable.
- Experience: Prior radio operation experience preferred.
- Languages: Fluency in English and Swahili (oral & written).
- Skills: Basic electronics/mathematics knowledge, teamwork, and stress management.
