ANNOUNCEMENT OF INTERNSHIP VACANCIES (PAID INTERNSHIP)
Hafford Hospital, located in Chang’ombe Maduka Mawili – Temeke, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania (EA), announces internship opportunities for graduates in the following fields:
1. ASSISTANT NURSING OFFICER – 4 POSITIONS
Applicant Qualifications:
- Must be a graduate of a Nursing Diploma (Registered Nurse) from an institution recognized by NACTE/TCU.
- Must be registered with the Tanzania Nursing and Midwifery Council (TNMC) and possess a valid practicing license.
- Must have knowledge of basic nursing services, including patient care, medication administration, and health education.
- Ability to work collaboratively, follow instructions, and adhere to nursing ethics.
Selection Criteria:
- Academic performance in the relevant field.
- Experience in volunteering or internships at hospitals/clinics (if available).
- Discipline, good communication skills, and the ability to learn quickly.
2. HEALTH ATTENDANT – 3 POSITIONS
Applicant Qualifications:
- Must be a graduate of Health Attendant training (Medical Attendant/Nurse Attendant) from an institution recognized by NACTE or VETA.
- Must understand supportive roles in healthcare services, including patient preparation and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Must be eager to learn, disciplined, and able to work under pressure.
Selection Criteria:
- Academic performance in the relevant field.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude toward patients and colleagues.
- Willingness to work scheduled hours and adhere to health and safety procedures.
3. PHARMACEUTICAL ASSISTANT – 1 POSITION
Applicant Qualifications:
- Must hold a Certificate in Pharmaceutical Sciences/Technology from an institution recognized by NACTE.
- Must be registered with the Tanzania Pharmacy Council and possess a valid practicing license.
- Must understand procedures for storing, dispensing, and controlling medications.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare providers.
Selection Criteria:
- Integrity and high work ethics.
- Ability to work in a team and under minimal supervision.
- Willingness to learn and work in challenging environments.
- Proficiency in electronic medication management systems (e.g., eLMIS or eHMS) will be an added advantage.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL APPLICANTS:
- Must be a Tanzanian citizen aged at least 18 years.
- Must possess a valid birth certificate and a copy of the National ID (NIDA).
- Must have valid academic certificates from institutions recognized by relevant authorities (NACTE or NECTA, depending on the field).
- Must be registered with the relevant professional board (e.g., TNMC for Registered Nurses, Pharmacy Council for Pharmaceutical Assistants).
- Must have good morals, work discipline, and no criminal record.
- Must be able to work collaboratively in a team and under minimal supervision.
- Must respect and follow leadership instructions and adhere to institutional/hospital policies.
- Must have good communication skills in both Swahili and English.
- Must be ready to start work immediately or within a short period after passing the interview.
