SimbaNET (T) Ltd, part of "The Wananchi Group," is one of East Africa's leading Internet, Data, and Communication Solutions Provider Companies. We are looking for highly competent, self-motivated, and professional individuals to fill the following positions:

1. Sales Account Managers (Arusha & Dar es Salaam)
We are looking for Sales Account Managers for our Arusha and Dar es Salaam offices who will work independently to make new sales in the Enterprise and SME Segment. The roles report to the Head of Sales.
Qualifications:

  • Degree or Masters in an ICT/Business-related field.
  • Knowledge of selling Internet & Data Connectivity Services.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Enterprise and SME Sales.
  • The ideal candidate should have a wide business/social network, be self-driven, and result-oriented.
  • Knowledge of using MS-Office is a must.
  • Note for Dar es Salaam applicants: Sales Consultants should have their own laptop.

2. NOC Specialist
Job Purpose:
The NOC Specialist will be responsible for configuring customer services with subscribed QOS, handling technical escalations, and resolving service-related challenges within MTTR and SLA with the provision of clear RCA in the RFO.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the performance of the core, distribution, access infrastructure, transmission networks, upstream IPLC, upstream Internet capacities, and POPs.
  • Ensure continuous service with high availability and minimum disruption (Uptime of 99.9%).
  • Ensure infrastructure security by safeguarding against unauthorized access and abuse of services.
  • Work independently and with team members to perform accurate root-cause analysis in resolving problems.
  • Plan, design, coordinate, and implement network projects within the department and company-wide.
  • Thorough and proactive monitoring of the capacities and utilization of all network devices and services.
    Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
  • 3+ Years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of configuration and monitoring of routing protocols (IS-IS, BGP, etc.) and Campus, Distribution, and Core Switching.
  • In-depth understanding of IP / MPLS - Design, implementation, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Conversant with VSAT networks, Fiber networks, and LAN policies, services, and security.
  • Understanding of NOC functions (Network Monitoring, advanced troubleshooting & Analysis Tools).
    Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications / BSc. Electrical & Computer Engineering.
  • CCNA / Network A+ / JNCIA / SDH / CCNP / JNCIS-ISP certifications are an added advantage.

3. Technical Support Manager (B2B)
The Technical Support Manager will work independently to provide professional and focused customer service both internally and externally. The role reports to the Country Manager & has a dotted line to the Director, Customer Experience (Group).
Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for delivering world-class L1, L2 technical support and downtime prevention measures for our Business and Carrier clients across multiple technologies.
  • Oversee basic fault diagnosis and customer guidance on issues like service outages, DNS, email, equipment, link, connectivity issues and ensure timely resolution of service incidents through helpdesk platforms.
  • Manage relationships with third-party providers and equipment vendors to ensure timely support, maintenance, updates, and RCAs.
  • Develop and execute strategies to acquire new customers and expand existing relations & account value.
  • Manage B2B client segments to enhance satisfaction and NPS.
    Preferred Certifications:
  • Cisco CCNA or Juniper JUNOS / JNCIA
  • ITIL Foundation (for incident and change management)
  • Windows / Linux Certified
    Required Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Network Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5 or more years of experience in a Technical Support, NOC, or Network Operations role within an ISP or telecom.
  • Proven experience supporting B2B/Enterprise and Carrier/Wholesale clients under strict SLAs.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Fiber/Cable access networks, IP/MPLS networks, Routing/Switching (Cisco, Juniper, MikroTik), Network Monitoring tools, and common troubleshooting tools.
